I admit I don’t always get my “five a day”, especially when it’s cold and grey outside. I’m far more likely to look for warming comfort food and biting into a crunchy apple doesn’t really do it for me when I’m already freezing. However, with the first rays of sunshine starting to come through (yay!) and the weather feeling at least a little spring-like, I suddenly develop an appetite for fresh fruits. Since it can sometimes be a little uninspiring to eat one piece after another, I find smoothie bowls to be a great – not to mention good-looking – solution. Eating one of those feels like a treat and the variations are endless. Decorate them with some of the fruits you’re using or even fresh flowers and you pretty much have spring on a plate. Another plus is of course the fact that they’re so quick to make. Even on a busy morning, one of these can be made up in a few minutes – provided you’re not too fussy about the decorations. So, here three ideas for you to try out.
