Here's how it's done...

  • 1

Grease a small baking tray and line with grease-proof paper.

  • 2

Break the dark chocolate into chunks and put into a heat-proof bowl.

  • 3

Put the bowl over a pot with simmering water making sure it doesn’t touch the water.

  • 4

Slowly melt the chocolate and once it has all melted, pour the chocolate onto the prepared tray and spread it out with a spatula.

  • 5

Put into the fridge for 20 minutes to set.

  • 6

Using a large knife, chop the candy canes into small pieces.

  • 7

Now melt the white chocolate over simmering water.

  • 8

Take the tray out of the fridge and pour the white chocolate on top working fast as not to melt the dark chocolate and sprinkle with the chopped candy canes and add the little sugar decorations.

  • 9

Return to the fridge for another 20 minutes until set.
