Tomorrow is National Pizza Day so we’re pulling out the stops and showcasing a variety of ways you can get dough-y.
From quick and easy, to quirky, to classic and crispy we have a pizza for everyone…

The Classic...
The recipes for the base and sauce are just guidelines – you may well have your own favourite bread and tomato sauce recipes, and this method should work well whatever you do.

The Quick...
Sometimes we just need something that we can whip up in 15 minutes flat. You know, when those unexpected guests turn up, the kids get back from school and it’s too early for dinner or you need a quick lunch. Pizza is a favourite with pretty much everybody, so it would be hard to go wrong with it. Since making pizza dough from scratch might seem a stretch too far when you’re in a hurry, here’s a fab alternative: ready-made crisp bread slices. Might sound strange, but works so well!

The Fancy...
There’s nothing quite like a homemade pizza. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll never go back to shop bought. Plus, you can be so much more inventive with the toppings at home and even make them a little bit healthy with the addition of wholemeal flour.

The Quirky...
Who ever said that pizza needs to be flat and open faced? Well, the Italians I guess, but that’s not to say that we can’t have fun with the whole pizza concept, right? So, if you’re looking for a fun alternative to the usual pizza, then why not try pizza waffles? The idea might seem a little strange, but I promise you won’t have to somehow wrestle with liquid batter and pizza ingredients. A basic dough ensures that you can fashion little “parcels” with the mozzarella and other ingredients firmly wrapped up in it. So, why not give these a try, I’m certain even the kids will love them.
