When it’’s cold outside, there’’s no better drink to warm you up than hot chocolate, especially when it’’s as indulgent as this one.

Forget about your usual powdered hot chocolate beverages, inspired by the unbeatable hazelnut chocolate in the little gold wrapper, this drink uses real chocolate melted in hazelnut milk, topped with whipped cream and chopped nuts. It’’s a little bit naughty, but it’’s so worth it.

here's what you'll need...

  • 225ml of hazelnut milk
  • 50g of milk chocolate
  • 1 tsp of cocoa powder, plus a little extra for dusting
  • ½ a tsp of chopped hazelnuts
  • Whipped cream

If you want to make it even more grown up, try adding a little hazelnut liqueur. It’’ll change your expectations of hot chocolate forever.

This is a real treat of a warm winter drink, and one that everyone can enjoy. Unless, of course, you go for the grownups-only version.
