New Year, New you? Try out these delicious salad bowls, full of goodness and everything you need for a healthy kick start for 2018! If you’re not ready to commit to a full on salad just yet, try adding a slice of seeded wholemeal bread to bolster up the dish and keep you fuller for longer.


Here's how it's done...


  • 1 Fillet of Salmon (Grilled)
  • Handful of Rocket Leaves
  • 1 Avocado (Sliced)
  • 1 Spring Onion (Thinly Sliced)
  • Handful of Pine Nuts
  • Drizzle of Balsamic Glaze
  • Drizzle of Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste



  • Handful of Spinach
  • 1 Carrot (Peeled)
  • 1/2 Tin of Chickpeas
  • 3 Radish (Sliced)
  • 1/2 Ball of Buffalo Mozzarella
  • Drizzle of Balsamic glaze
  • Drizzle of Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste



  • Handful of spinach
  • 25g Cooked Red Rice
  • 5-6 Sprigs of Tenderstem Broccoli
  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • A Few Slices of Red Cabbage
  • Drizzle of Olive Oil
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lime

    Those all look absolutely delicious and pre-op would have been making a shopping list. However as I am now a life-long warfarin taker I have to take care with vitamin K intake so no spinach leaves, rocket and careful with other dark green veg (all the tasty ones). Fruit wise no cranberries or grapefruit. Any ideas for tasty substitutes for salad bases.
