Do you remember the floral and copper napkin holders I showed you a few weeks back? Well, I thought it’d be a great idea to have a matching craft. Something that can be added to the table or to a shelf and bring a little bit of spring to your home.
Now, I’m not somebody who will go completely overboard with pink and flowers, but little touches here and there add just a hint of a feminine touch as long as you steer clear of “Barbie pink”.
Pale pinks work beautifully with off-white and look pretty and grown up. So, if you fancy making this lovely little vase, just follow the simple instructions. Have fun.
here's what you'll need...
- Silk flowers, I have used the same SIA cherry blossoms as in the napkin post
- A small glass bottle
- Off white spray paint
- Hot glue gun
- Old newspaper
here's how it's done...
-
1
Pull the blossoms off the stem – a little tug and they’ll come off.
-
2
Take the bottle outside or open all your windows, lay out the newspaper and apply the spray paint in a thin layer. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes before applying a second layer. Leave to dry.
-
3
Heat up your glue gun and carefully apply a good dollop of glue to the back of a blossom.
-
4
Stick onto the bottle.
-
5
Repeat with the other blossoms applying them closely together in a “trail” going around the bottle.
-
6
Once all the flowers are glued on, apply another thin layer of spray paint all over the flowers. This will give the flowers a matching look to the vase.
That’s it! A small vase with a really pretty Spring feel.
I hope you like it!
