These little garlands are so versatile and simple to make – can use them to dress up a plain wall, drape over a mirror or a mantle or anywhere else you’d like a little pizazz.

Paper disc garlands have been rapidly growing in popularity, but hadn’t seen one that used patterned paper, so I figured I’d give it a go myself. These little garlands are so versatile and simple to make – you can use them to dress up a plain wall, drape over a mirror or a mantle or anywhere else you’d like a little pizazz.

You’re really only limited by the type of paper you choose – so think glittery or metallic paper garlands for parties (the more, the better!), colour-coordinating it to a child’s bedroom, or using fun patterns for the holiday season.

This is a really easy project, so even if you are a beginner with the sewing machine, I promise, it’s easy to do!

here's what you'll need...

  • Paper in complimentary patterns (I got mine from here)
  • Large circle craft punch (I used 2″)
  • Small circle craft punch (I used 1″)
  • Sewing machine and thread

Gather up all your circles in order, in a neat little stack next to your sewing machine. With a very gentle foot on the pedal, begin feeding each circle under the foot.
