here's how it's done...

  • 1

Cut strips of crepe paper approx 8cm in width and fold them in half lengthways. Then using your scissors, cut into the open edge to make fringing.

Wrap the fringing around a polystyrene ball, and stick down with craft glue. Start just under the widest part of the ball, and then work upwards with more strips of fringing.  You will find it’’s easier to use shorter strips the closer you get to the top.

Cut out two small circles and one larger circle from your black card. Glue these to your crepe paper covered ball for the face.

Finally, take a length of thread long enough to string through all of your ghosts, use a long needle, and thread through near the top of the head. It helps to tie knots after each one so they don’’t move around on the thread when hung up.

You could also alter this project and make a garland of pumpkins for example with bright orange crepe paper!
