There is something to be said for a style that doesn’t take itself too seriously, that allows you to break lots of so-called decorating rules without a second glance and to embrace at its core, the comforts of home. Bohemian style is one that I’ve always loved and while my personal tastes tend toward a bit more glam than what might be considered a traditional bohemian look, incorporating a bit of what makes boho style so appealing isn’t actually as difficult as it sounds.

You don’t have to book a ticket to Marrakesh nor do you need to put your mattress on the floor and hang up a canopy (unless of course you want to, then absolutely go for it!). This is really more about embracing textiles and patterns, mixing styles and creating a laid back look that’s easy to love and easy to live with.

Is this a look you would embrace in your own home? If so, which elements of boho style do you prefer?
