Our predecessor model was also a RH glass kettle, which lasted about 6 years before the plastic lid came off, this kettle is very similar in looks, build and size. We like the fact that the RH glass kettles have a fully concealed element making them easy to clean inside. Quick at boiling and easy grip handle makes it safe to move around. The pouring spout could be better designed to help pour out every drop of water, unless tipped upside down it difficult to completly drain off every bit of water. I guess this would only be a probllem for hard water homes.

The product was delivered as promised. Kettle works well and is pleasing to the eye.

So far this kettle has exceeded expectation. Great looking, fast boil, easy to open what’s not to like!

Not very happy with this item and sending it back. It’s extrememly noisy when boiling. We weren’t happy with it in looks either. It doesn’t look like the photos with the lovely lot blue rolling boiled water. The water boils and a blue light is just around the bottom of the kettle. The problem with glass is that even with one use the inside looks dirty. Won’t be buying a glass kettle again.

Lovely kettle just as I expected but actually looks better than I thought

I was delighted to receive my new Russel Hobbs glass kettle. On first inspection it looked very sleek and stylish and matches the rest of my Russel Hobbs kitchen ware set well. First boil was fascinating to watch for me and my two young daughters, with the blue led lighting lighting up our kitchen. My oldest daughter said 'cool, it looks like a lava lamp'. Unfortunately though, we live in a hard water area and a thin layer of limescale was visible inside the tank, after just one use. Also, as some what of a 'streak free' cleaner, I get annoyed being able to see the stream inside glad tank and find myself contstantly having to swill the water to clear the sides of condensation. Overall, I am pleased and impressed with the kettle and the speed of boil, and it is much quieter than my old kettle.

I love the ability to boil just a cup of water, and in use it's fast and looks great. However, the shiny interior base gets streaky chalk marks from the very first time you use it so when it's not in use it sits looking grubby.
