Excellent picture quality but the biggest letdown for me is the lack of BBC iplayer. It doesn’t seem to be supported by my tv although my son has the identical model and his does have iplayer !

Incredible picture quality and very good quality TV. Google TV OS works well. However, this TV hasn’t been approved for use with BBC iPlayer or Channel 4’s online app. Had this been made clearer on AO.com’s website, I might have purchased a different TV. TCL’s response is that BBC iPlayer will be available ‘very soon’. However, TCL won’t give a timeline for when this TV will be ‘approved’ (i.e. When TCL agrees to pay the BBC for accreditation). It’s a bit of a poor show for what would have been otherwise a fantastic TV.

The average online review for this tv actually stands up for a change. I did read reviews re crashing and slow menus etc but I have experienced quite the opposite. The picture quality is all round really very good for HD & 4k content. Upscaling is certainly not this television's first sport but with a decent source this it not a concern. The onboard speakers are fine, certainly sufficient for my ears. The atmos stage is limited but in that price bracket would be entirely unreasonable to expect anything other. All in all I'm delighted with it thus far.

Excellent TV with some stunning picture quality. User interface quick and easy to use. However, I do need to play about with the settings to get the best picture and motion not always perfect on upscaled programmes

Very good TV. Shame doesn't have BBC or itv apps but works fine with Disney and netflix. Is very good with consoles.

A great product at the price. Good stylish build, very good picture, and decent sound. Also generally good functionality (including eArc output - important for me as I have a quality soundbar). The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that some elements of the control and menu system are a bit complicated and clunky to use (admittedly this may be true of most modern TVs).

I've only had the TV a day, It looks really good and I bought it for the gaming features and it looks fantastic with a decent input, but I feel its worth others knowing that the TV itself cannot run the apps for iplayer / channel4 / freeview or itvx apparently because it is not certified to run iplayer. Yea you can get an external device such as firestick, it's just a bit annoying.
