I bought this because I previously had a samsung QLED TV which failed (49" Q6 from 2018) and I nearly went for the latest version of the Q6 again, but decided to look up professional reviews of TVs to see which was the best value. TCL was a name I'd not heard of before, but I saw a lot of praise for their C745 series among various reviewers and decided to investigate; whilst I couldn't find the 745 in the right size for me, I saw the C805K was available and was quite impressed by the specifications of the hardware as well as the price not being too expensive. I am EXTREMELY impressed by this TV: the picture quality is excellent, with the HDR10 (with a higher brightness than most competitors, at 1350 nits) and mini quantum LED (essentially QLED by another name for legal reasons) combining together to create excellent scenes with deep and rich colours along with spectacular contrast, and the backlight micro-dimming is a big step up from Samsung's edge-light dimming, which can leave the center of the screen to suffer from poor contrast. Setup was very easy if you have an android phone and google account, because you can simply download the Google Home app (I already had this for a Google Nest speaker) and then with a few button presses on your phone it sets up your TV with no fuss and even adds in your accounts for the most popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ if you've logged into them on your phone before I primarily use my TV as a second monitor for my high-end PC, and it is perfect for this due to the added game mode feature, where it utilizes a high 144Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate (VRR) technology to provide extremely fast and responsive scenes with no input delay and no screen tearing when V-sync is off, this along with the HDR10 and the high local dimming means games look especially beautiful on this screen, to the point where I've been playing more games lately on my TV rather than my computer monitor just because it makes them look so nice. Overall I highly recommend this TV, I felt like I was taking a gamble by buying it over a known brand like Samsung, LG, or Sony, but after using it for a while I believe that those big companies have gotten complacent and stopped putting as much effort or technology in their products and just rely on their name to carry them, and this TV is a prime example of that in action, as I feel like it blows away it's nearest price-competitors from those brands

Excellent stylish TV. Easy to set up, has an amazing picture and was also surprised by the sound quality. I like the fact that it is a Google TV which allows you to download some really good apps. Definitely the best TV I have ever purchased.

Incredible picture quality and very good quality TV. Google TV OS works well. However, this TV hasn’t been approved for use with BBC iPlayer or Channel 4’s online app. Had this been made clearer on AO.com’s website, I might have purchased a different TV. TCL’s response is that BBC iPlayer will be available ‘very soon’. However, TCL won’t give a timeline for when this TV will be ‘approved’ (i.e. When TCL agrees to pay the BBC for accreditation). It’s a bit of a poor show for what would have been otherwise a fantastic TV.

Very pleased with the purchase. Sleek looking TV, great picture. Only slight grumble is Channel 4 app doesn't work on Google TV, but bought primarily for ps5, and it doesn't disappoint. The graphics are fantastic.

Great TV. Have an OLED in my lounge with this being for my gaming room and can't believe the quality for the price.

Excellent TV with some stunning picture quality. User interface quick and easy to use. However, I do need to play about with the settings to get the best picture and motion not always perfect on upscaled programmes

Very good TV. Shame doesn't have BBC or itv apps but works fine with Disney and netflix. Is very good with consoles.

Absolutely brilliant TV, excellent picture quality, superb sound, very easy to set up. Can't fault it in any way. Highly recommended.
