wonderful picture but some flaky software and cheap remote

3/5
I'd give it 3.5 out of 5. picture is 5/5, not surprising since this is the same panel as in LG TVs, but LG don't have Ambilight, I love Ambilight. issues are 1 the remote is cheap annd restricted functions, no direct input select such as HDMI1, HDMI2, means I can't learn those functions for my universal remote. also the software is flaky, I've had a few crashes had to power cycle at wall twice in less than a week. the Apps are limited too, no Spotify for example. Stick a Chromecast or Firestick in the side and away you go. better more stable software, more apps and a nice remote please.

Not easy to set up but a great TV

4/5
After searching around for a month or so iI finally landed my eyes on this TV and I'm glad I did. The picture is amazing, the sound is excellent and the amberlight just enhances the overall viewing. We watch movies quite regularly with the current covid situations and this TV makes them a pleasure to watch. I am still having trouble setting up the Alexa feature and the Internet connection but apart from that I highly recommend this TV. I'm sure these problems are down to something I'm not doing correctly but I would recommend phillips to have a troubleshooting menu on the TV itself. Overall I gave it 4 stars due to it not being simple to set up but at this time I don't regret buying it and I'm sure I will figure it out eventually.

great budget entry OLED TV

4/5
Fantastic screen quality, colours really pop, silky blacks. Great entry OLED TV. Dolby Vision compatible. No issues with the TV, and picture quality with Ambilight is a massive bonus. Interface with Saphi is the only down side.

Great TV

4/5
This is my first OLED TV so I have no direct comparison but I have to say that I have been impressed with the picture quality. There are a lot of settings in the menu so plenty for those that like to mess around with colour, sharpness, contrast etc. You can fine tune to your hearts content. 4K HDR content via Netflix is very clear and colours vibrant. General HD tv content is upscaled and looks good. I have also been impressed with the sound. Whilst not being particularly loud - the sound is quite detailed and can also be fine tuned. I also like the ambilight feature although the wife is not keen so it’s not for everyone. All in all I am very happy with it so far.

Excellent picture but not sure about saphi

4/5
Wasnt sure about upgrading to an oled my old Panasonic was working fine but so glad I did the picture is so bright and clear almost too bright Netflix 4k looks amazing I'm so glad I did upgrade but.... The saphi interface is ok menus are easy enough to find and use but there is times when it slows down and I think it has crashed and had a similar problem with netflix if watching something in 4k and you need to skip quite far into a programme it just slows netflix to a crawl so the tv has to be restarted. These are small problems and the quality of the image more than makes up for it would definitely recommend

Great with some buts

4/5
The 55OLED754 is overall a fantastic tv. The picture quality is absolutely majestic, including the now-so important blackest black of all blacks :). Images are vivid, crisp and make a true pleasure to watch anything. The Ambilight also add enormously to the experience, and have so many options that there is anything for any taste and use. The sound of the tv itself is definitively fine as support to the images, mind you that I have also a 5.1 sound system therefore I am a bit bias, though, but is a bit a lower grade compared to the picture standards. What really may let down, although it is not something that it is use frequently, is the Saphi os and the overall controls/settings/etc. The Saphi os may, unfortunately, be very frustrating at times, as it seems to be the overall paths to change many settings, although it is true that it is something that it is used occasionally. Overall it is a great tv worth of the price and I would sincerely recommended to anyone who are interested in buying an OLED 4k TV.

Great TV

5/5
The Philips Ambilight is a great product and you won’t regret buying it. The outgoing TV was a 4K Panasonic and the difference in quality is chalk and cheese. The upscaling from this TV is amazing giving a superb picture quality in all situations.

A Great buy

5/5
The image is fantastic, the ambilight really sets it off. Fits well into a corner of the room and lights up a dark room very well. The only downside is that it runs a Linux based operating system instead of Android. This limits the amount of apps that cab be downloaded.
