The Melitta Caffeo Solo coffee machine is super easy to set up and get going with, load the coffee beans in the top, fill the water reservoir and away you go, after testing your water hardness (there's a little strip in the box you dip in water and set accordingly). The drip tray is a little on the small side and fills up fairly quickly, you'll need a steady hand to get to the sink without any spillages as the sides are shallow. Other than that it's a brilliant coffee maker and I'd highly recommend.

Very happy with the product, easy to use

This is my first bean to cup coffee maker and I spent some time looking at various reviews and what I needed the machine for. I had a tassimo that I only used to make americanos and then added milk because I don’t like uht. I decided that I therefore didn’t need milk added as I’d do that myself. Positives: fairly small machine delicious coffee and easy to use Nice crema look to surface of drink Seems easy to clean Adjustable drink size Cleans itself when switching on/off Eco friendly compared to capsule machines Drink made pretty quickly Too early to say but I think will be cheaper than pods Negatives Small water dispenser needs regular filling but hardly a chore Drink is too cold when you add cold milk so needs microwaving or warm milk added Little noisy but then I haven’t had one before so they all may be like this I’m very happy with this for my first foray into machine made coffee.

Excellent coffee machine. Heats up and ready to use in 20 seconds, reasonably quiet and self cleans. Makes a very good coffee with plenty of adjustability. Simple and easy to clean. Drip tray is a bit small as the self cleaning machanism seems to fill it after 3-4 coffee's. Build quality feels solid, hopefully this will last a few years with correct maintenance.

The coffee tastes great but there are several areas where the design could be improved. The drip tray is large but very flat and shallow sided. So when you pull it out you need to have a steady hand to prevent spillages. My model has a fault where the indicator to empty it comes on after just one cup. Another issue is the water reservoir. The hinges for the cover make it difficult to line up with the tabs when you put it back. The level sensor tells you when it's empty, but this doesn't tell you if there's enough water for the next brew. You can easily end up with half a cup. Finally the indicator lights for strength are positioned over the two-cup button, so you can easily start brewing when all you wanted to do is change strength.

Lovely coffee machine and really quite too

Great tasting coffee from this machine. Easy to set up and use. Height adjustable dispenser useful, as is the ability to adjust the strength of coffee, the temperature and size of serving. Bean dispenser tray not removable so not possible to swap between different coffee beans until the grinder is empty. Uses a fair bit of water cleaning through on start up and shut down and is quite noisy when grinding and dispensing coffee. Overall very happy with it so far.

What's not to like about this bean to cup machine.? The grind setting is default perfect for a fine strong coffee and most of all its very easy to use and to clean.
