    Good quality print

    5/5
I have only used this printer for a week but it was easy to set up and operate. I am pleased with the quality of the colour printing given it is a laser printer and the ability to print from a variety of PC, iPad and iPhones is handy. I like the ability to email jobs to the printer or connects memory stick. No more frustrations with ink jets drying out. Delivery was timely and price seems fair for what is probably an extravagance as a family printer!

    Does the job

    5/5
So far so good. The set up experience was good, the print quality is better than I was expecting, and the ability to print wirelessly and from your home devices is a great quality of life benefit when you’re in a hurry. It prints double sided without any trouble so you don’t have the hassle of opening the tray and handling the paper. Printing speed is great too. I would recommend this even though pricey seems to be worth it so far.

    Absolutely brilliant!

    5/5
So very pleased with this product. The price point is about right for what it does and it's the same on a number of sites including direct from HP. Firstly, let me say this is a big and heavy printer so be careful getting it out of the box and moving it. Setup was a breeze, especially as I connect to it wirelessly. The little LCD is clear and easy to use and within minutes I had the necessary software on my PC and ready to print. Print speed is fantastic and the quality is very very good - and it's so nice to not have to manually flip and feed the paper for double-sided printing. I keep forgetting how fast it is and I start a print job and think about grabbing a brew and before I can it's done. Being used to inkjet printers, this is like my new favourite toy. I print a lot of hobby stuff such roleplaying sheets, playing cards, tokens and cutouts and this has just made thay endeavour so much more convenient - even entire books are just minutes away from being in my hand instead of a PDF on a screen. The scanner is also great and the HP software comes with a feature that let's you scan documents to create a text file ready to edit which is just super cool! This would be brilliant for either a small office or a family with kids who need frequent printing jobs. My wife is a teacher and my daughter is in primary school so we use it to print off a lot of worksheets, teaching resources, as well as my hobby stuff. Seriously this is probably the best IT-related kit I have ever bought. So glad I made the move to Laser jet and especially happy I went for colour! Just to confirm this printer does come with introductory toner - according the the specification from HP the cartridges will do around 700 colour and 1250 black. It's probably important to note that the toner cartridges for laser jet printers are a lot more expensive than ink refills for smaller inkjet printers- but at approx £100 per high-yield colour cartridge you're looking at around 2450 colour pages. So while the replenishment fee is higher, the value is so much better when compared to normal inkjet printers - especially if you don't printer often as the not al inkjet can clog up as the ink in the nozzles dry up which either requires cleaning or servicing and until done severely affected the printing quality- not a problem with toner as it lasts so much longer. There are high-yield and standard-sized toner packs and the extra cost for the high-yield is really worth it. There are unofficial cartridges for cheaper but they may void your warranty so be aware.

Good All in One Laser Printer

    5/5
Was looking for an All in One Laser and this was the only budget one that ticked all our boxes and came with additional feature(s) that we're not likely use i.e. Fax. Initial set up was relatively easy and was picked up quickly by ours Mac computers and Windows 10 picked it up once we'd found Printers in Control panel. Nice machine and not too big.

Great machine for a great price.

For the cost of the printer it's an excellent buy (even better cos of a current HP cashback offer) but even without this I purchased but discovered that bonus later! It's small enough to fit on a small cupboard, easy to set up and install, and the print quality for the size and cost of the machine is great. Printer cartridges are of course more expensive than ink or deskjet, but have a higher yield and a far superior print quality. With the scan and print, as well as double sided printing it's a great mchine

Overall, very pleased with this machine

    5/5
I've been researching what machine to get for the past few months whilst getting increasingly frustrated with the number of ink cartridges I was getting through on my old inkjet printer (which has served me well for the past 6 years!). Recently increased usage as I've been doing a lot of printing for church to post out information to the folk not on email during lockdown. I've only had this machine just over a week, but it is really ticking all my boxes! I love the duplex printing as that was one of the reasons for upgrading. The print quality is very clear, and it's coped well with the small amount of colour printing I've done so far - pleased with the colour quality too. It has a feature that will print out how much ink is left and how many pages it has printed. It makes a good job of printing envelopes direct from the second tray, but it seems to take 30 seconds per envelope and they need to be inserted one at a time, so I might continue hand-writing those for now. I think perhaps the envelopes could be put in the lower tray which would no doubt be a better option if printing multiple envelopes, but I've only tried with one or two at the moment. The 'mains on' button flashes a light all the time when it is on which I find a little annoying, but I've covered it with a bit of cardboard to hide it! It has been easy to add the printer to the laptops in my household as each machine found the printer and installed the app ok. I've also used it to print something direct off my phone which was a novelty for me! The scanner seems a bit hit and miss when scanning to a computer, but probably just me needing to find the right settings for it - it seemed to only scan half a document the first time I tried it, but I did eventually sort that. On the whole, I am very pleased with my purchase and just hoping the installed cartridges will see me through a few weeks! As others have commented, the replacements are expensive! I have put the beast on top of my 4-drawer filing cabinet so I need a little step stool to reach for scanning as it's a lot taller than my old inkjet - can just about manage the touch screen display without resorting to the step stool (I'm 5ft 4)
