    Cool bliss

Had this for thirty minutes and already so glad I got it. Great price and service from ao. It's quieter than my tower fan. I knew the exit house would be an issue but I've trapped it in the window and is secure. Turn your wi fi to 2.4 GHz only before connecting the app and I had no issues. Alexa works great and you can set the temp with it as well as on and off. Will roll on carpet but it is heavy so if your thinking of lugging it up and down stairs I wouldn't recommend. Brilliant unit.

    An elegant tank

    5/5
Style: Its a very clean looking unit, large plain white panels with a black top control panel. The mechanism for the fan opening is very satisfying. Function: As an air conditioning unit, it seems very good, cooling our living diner (approx 40m3) down to a nice 19 deg C. It also has dehumidifier, heater and fan functions available. App: There is an electrolux smart app that you can use with it which can give you the current air temperature from its on board sensor and you can set any of the settings you can set on the front panel. There is also smart home integration however all it does is provide the ability to turn on or off via voice assistant, no changing of functions. size: The thing is a tank, it weighs a fair amount and so lugging it up and down stairs to do different parts of the house is more of a challenge than I expected! but once it is on a level it does have some good wheels that roll it smoothly around the place. accessories: In the box, it also came with the window mounting kit which I wasn't expecting but was a bonus as it was included. It also came with a short drain hose (for use as a heater / dehumidifier) and the exhaust duct (for use as an air conditioner). Personal view: It is the most expensive air conditioner on AO when we purchased it but it looks well built, has an easy to use app and gets the house nice and cool which is exactly what we wanted it for. I just wish it was a little bit lighter!

    Worth the money

This is a wonderful portable AC. It cooled our bedroom big style in the recent hot weather and enabled us to get a comfortable night's sleep. The side opening window attachment didn't fit our windows as our handles obstructed fitting it. So it's not a universal attachment. I've solve the problem with a sheet of perspex and some U shaped aluminium to make a track so my shield slides along the window. This enables us to either have the shut as normal or when using the AC we can vent the hot exhaust heat and stop flying wasps etc coming in. The controls and app are easy to use and easy to setup. All in all it's very good and does what it should. Would have been 5 stars apart from the universal side fitting shield.

Excellent unit, shame about the window kit..

It's taken a while, but AO finally got some stock of this product after many months of waiting and it hasn't disappointed. The box size make's the product out to be much larger than it is, the overall floor space requirement is acceptable, the exhaust pipe could be longer, but a suitable extension is not hard to source. Come's with all required accessories for all the different mode features it has. Operation wise, it's obviously not going to be silent, in fan mode it's no louder than a normal stand fan, it's when you have the cooling mode running and you hear the condenser kicking in and out that make's the most noise, it's an acceptable decibel level which I find does not wake us up. I've not used the de-humidifier or the heating function yet so cannot comment on them. The app I found to be completely hopeless, it wouldn't connect to the wi-fi let alone find the unit. Luckily you don't need it, as everything can be done on the control panel. The only issue I had. The unit comes with a window kit.. now this window kit separate is around £100.. It does not fit standard UK windows with a 45 degree angle on the window sash. It's designed for EU windows and UK Tilt and Turn sash's. It only fit's sashes with a 90 degree edge on them. So had to source an additional means of securing the pipe. The kit's gone back in the box, it may get used in the future. Overall would recommend.

    It’s Bing Chilling!

Overall I’ve got to say I’m very impressed with this product, it’s sleek and easy to use, the performance is wicked and it doesn’t make as much sound as I was expecting based on the other reviews here. I does get a bit loud when you first turn it on as the compressor kicks in, but a few minutes after that it’s pretty chill. We were happily watching TV and talking with each other with thing only a meter away, not too bad. The experience of getting is up and running can be a bit confusing as the documentation that comes with it is just picture based, so if you were hoping for written instructions, use the QR Code on the on the back of the installation guide, that will get you the manual. However it’s the app which actually has the most information and is actually super useful! We were initially curious about the hose it provides and the 3 hose connectors at the back (Not the duct, it’s a water hose), the app explains it under drain instructions (You don’t really need to worry about them until you use the unit for heating/dry modes for this model) The app itself is very easy to use and setup, once in you can remotely control the appliance, switch modes and change the setting for the air flap at the front (It can swing up and down to create a natural feeling breeze, I highly recommend having this switched on as it helps to cool the room even faster) The app even tells you the condition of the dust filters and will give you notifications on when to clean them! Now for the elephant in the room, power and it’s associated cost. I have energy monitoring systems and I had one setup for this unit so I could keep track of it (Tapo P110 Energy Monitoring plugs, highly recommend them!) My unit would peak at around 800W when turned on initially and slowly drop down to 700W as the room cooled. Depending on what your cost per kWh is use this formula, 0.75(Average power used by unit) x 0.28 (Replace this with your cost per kWh) For me this works out to about 22p per hour. I personally have a limit set to 4kWh per day I can run on this thing so I can have it running for a total of 5 hours per day, costing me just over £1 per day. Not too bad honestly! Seems that the higher cost of this unit is easily recouped by its very efficient energy usage! So yeah overall I am very impressed with this unit and would highly recommend it!

Great cooling, easy to move on floor.

A large unit with great coasters, sound volume (bit loud) to be expected and the cooling breeze is perfect on a hot day. Have not used the other functions and the exhaust tube at 1.5m is too short, but that seems common with other Air Cons.
