I purchased this product to use with my ring doorbell as I suffer with anxiety and can’t tell you what a godsend this is now I can see and speak without opening g the door

The Echo Show 8 has quickly become the central hub of our smart home. It joins our Echo dot, Echo, Philips Hue and Ring doorbell and works amazingly especially with the Ring Doorbell! We’re expecting our first in April and have found out we can use the show as a baby monitor with some additional blink cameras. Can’t say a bad thing about it, oh and if you want another device that plays Netflix this ticks the box, perfect for our home!

The screen adds a lot more to the ease of use and experience over the dot and the other alexa products. You can watch videos, ask alexa to search the web, load up music tracks etc, but the downside is that unit takes up a good 6 inches behind it, so you need a good amount of space, and because of the screen, there is not much point hiding it away , it needs to be out and visible. The screen is not that intuitive for non-tech savvy people; its hard to know how to get up the different functions because it doesn't have a "home screen" with apps on it like a smart phone. The speakrs are good, better than other bluetooth speakers. When you ask alexa to play direct from apple music (easy to set up), the sound is a lot better, than when I use my phone, and connect via bluetooth to play through the echo speaker.

You just open the box plug it in and log in to your amazon account It. Automatically connects to the internet it knows who you are It’s easier than setting up the Alexa Ecco Mine is the 8” a perfect size for me Perfect for getting in touch with family during lockdown one of the best gadgets I have bought in years only one criticism would be much better if it had battery back up so you can move around the house I have a Alexa upstairs the show in in the living Room so I need one in the kitchen for the technology in it it’s a small price to pay

This is a very clever piece of technology. It can control all my lights and play my favourite music. It gives me news updates, finds recipes, and orders goods from Amazon. I have seen photographs that I had forgotten about. I recommend it.

Bought this as a gift for my parents who love it. Great display screen and Alexa features. We currently have it linked to Amazon photos. It is acting as a digital photo frame which was the main reason we bought it. The Home Screen displays a slideshow of added photos. One issue we had is that after a couple of days the photos stopped displaying and returned to standard. However I managed to fix this issue and now working back perfectly. The drop in feature is a personal favourite so we can video call the echo show to speak to family at home whenever and wherever.

Purchased this for my son's birthday as his original Alexa had failed. He thought the screen was definitely a better upgrade to facetime his friends etc
