    Do not buy!

This cooker is only 14 months old and has developed a serious fault. The centre ring comes on when unattended and not switched on. Also the grill cannot be regulated it can only be operated on high. I've had to switch off at the mains and waiting for an engineer to call. It was just out of warranty and I've ended up having to take out an extended warranty to get it fixed. Not impressed. I've been told that the switches on this appliance are poor quality.

    Disappointed

Bought this cooker to fit in 90cm gap. Unfortunately, once in situ I couldn’t open the oven doors fully as they caught on the cupboard units either side. Only way they could open fully was to pull the cooker away from the back wall which would mean having it sticking out into the kitchen. Returned it and purchased a different make and model with pull down doors.

    Poor product

Cooker looks good but in the 3 years that we have had it we have had the elements changed in both ovens and the grill. We have just had to change the grill element again this week and now it is tripping the oven constantly. Very frustrating especially as leisure cook master don’t want to help as the cooker is now out of warranty. Timer is also awkward, if it is not set nothing will work which happens frequently.

Corrosion on door after 21 months

    2/5
I got this model about 21 months ago and generally we have been pleased with it. I cleaned the oven door this morning and notice don't that there was blistering on the paint work at the bottom of the door. It goes right across the bottom and when it falls off we will have a real rusty looking door which will take the look away from our new kitchen. The kitchen is brand new and sparkling so I feel annoyed at how the paint work has failed and clearly this is a product fault as ther is no contextual factors that would contribute to this. I did initially take the extended warranty but cancelled after 8 months. The warranty offered by leisure is only for one year. So this means spending another 800 approximately as well as the price of fitting.

Not the quality I was expecting

Aesthetically this range cooker looks great, people walk into the kitchen and go “ooh, nice cooker”. Sadly this is the only good point that I can say about the Leisure Cookmaster. After using this cooker for a week now, it’s really a massive let down in terms of practicality, build quality and functionality. Also after registering the guarantee, I found out that it is actually a BEKO cooker and not an independent UK manufacturer?!? PROS • Looks nice • Good compact size at 900mm • Large secondary oven is very handy for a sunday roast • Nice metal handle bars CONS • Low quality build: flimsy shelves, wobbly top etc. • Plastic control dials ?!?!? • Paint coated fronts • Hobs get hot outside of the designated heating circle • Fan oven takes about 30 mins to heat up to 180/200 degrees, the bigger fan oven even longer. • Difficult to set temperature of ovens as the controls dials are too bulky and not accurate • LED display/control is fairly limited no temp display etc. CONCLUSION If you are after a good quality range cooker, to actually cook with every day, invest the extra few hundred quid and buy a better brand such as Smeg or Rangemaster.

    Replacement cooker.

So far so good. I haven't used it a great deal because I don't want make it dirty. Ha!Ha! It is a replacement oven for what I thought was the same one ten years ago and which I used a great deal, however I now discover that the main oven is a little different as it doesn't have all the cooking options that the old one had. It is also fractionally wider, however, luckily, it did still fit in.

Bought this to replace by dual fuel rangemaster and I do like it. Looks great although the ovens take a long time to get upto temperature.
