Very stylish

5/5
I bought this coffee machine for my new flat and am not disappointed. It is definitely an investment buy but the styling is so good it’s worth the price. Very straightforward to use, makes great coffee.

Nice product, perhaps not worth the cost.

4/5
It makes good tasting coffee and does what it's supposed to, but I can't help feeling that even with the Smeg brand, it's not quite worth the overall cost. The design of the water tank is impractical as you can't pour in all of the water from the jug (because of the strict 90 degree angle at which the lid opens and the design of the jug). It's also unclear as to what the 4 cup function is for as you can simply fill the tank with 4 cups worth of water and at least that way the keep-warm hotplate turns on (which it otherwise wouldn't on 4-cup mode). I haven't noticed a difference between the two aroma modes either, but perhaps my palate isn't refined enough. I feel like the strongest aspect of this product is the aesthetics, which is pretty much the biggest reason I bought it, next to Smeg being reliable as a brand. I'm not sure that it's worth the price, but overall, I'm happy with the product.

Looks great but not always practical

4/5
I really want to live this. And I mostly do. I’ve used it a lot in the week or two since reviving it (anyone else’s coffee consumption rocketed up since lockdown?!), and have made genuinely great tasting coffee (using Pact and Cafe Nero grinds). I love waking up on a weekend and smelling the fresh coffee. But I’ve found setting the timer for the “delay” function a bit tricky - kept going round in circles at one point with a loud “BEEP” every time I tried to set the time. Also, the water receptacle is hard to fill in my opinion - there’s quite a narrow space and can be a bit tricky. Finally... for some reason the “stay hot” function doesn’t work at the same time as the “half jug” function which I find a little annoying (this is stated in the instructions, not a defect in the product). Sometimes I’ll make a half jug just for myself and want it to stay warm for a while. So all in all I’m pleased but some nightly bits prevent me from giving 5 stars.

Smeg coffee machine

5/5
This coffee machine is perfect - it’s quick putting coffee through keeps it hot for a while on hot plate - can make just 4 cups or more if you want - it’s also very stylish - easy to clean - what more do you need .

Good coffee

Not the cheapest but looks good and makes nice coffee. Bit awkward to fill up with water and hot plate only stays in for 40mins
