Love the look of the Smeg filter coffee maker. However, and I’ve found this with other filter coffee machines, the opening for the water reservoir is very small and I end up not being able to fill it without spilling some. Also, I forgot why I used to always buy dark colored machines; the lighter machine shows drips of coffee so it takes extra care.

Makes great coffee.....well it is Italian! A typical classic Smeg design and a beautiful pale blue. I love it.

Been waiting a while for the black one to be released, to go with the other black Smeg items in the kitchen. Well worth the wait! Easy to use, easy to clean. The coffee is hot unlike some machines where you have to rush to drink it! The timer setting is great, the coffee is brewed by the time you wake up & it looks really cool! Love Smeg!!

The machine is very robust looking and also acts in a similar fashion. Very Pleased with the product and it make coffee quite well also !!

Great looking in blue and matches our toaster and juicer. Solidly made from metal and not plastic. Expensive but looks and works great.

It looks great, as you'd expect from a Smeg machine. It makes good coffee too and the settings (which are easy to use) and timer available mean it's a pretty flexible machine. My only negative is that it's slightly tricky to fill the water reservoir using the carafe and I end up having a bit left as the gap is quite small and the lid doesn't open far enough, but I'm guessing that's a limitation of style over function! The price is pretty high for an equivalent machine but you're paying for the style and build quality. Or like me, you already have the kettle and toaster and want it to match!
