Unfortunately we are disappointed with this Hotpoint Appliance. The interior shelves in the doors only allow for 2 x 4 pint milks, and not tall enough in other side for fruit juices or bottles of wine. As the shelves can not be adjusted in main fridge, you are limited to the height of bottles bought (e.g. a large ketchup bottle can not be stood upright). The "defrost" drawer in fridge, doesn't defrost that well in 24 hours, and if fresh meat or veg / fruit are stored in that drawer then they will actually start to freeze. The freezer drawers themselves tend to stick and not glide (they have broken twice in six months) and you only have 1 1/2 drawers in reality as the top drawer at left hand side is used for the ice cube tray. And if there is food at the front left of top drawer it will not close. I'd also add if you are shorter than 5'7" then don't buy, as it is very difficult to reach the back of the top shelf due to depth of fridge. Sadly wish we hadn't bought this, and truly look forward to it breaking down so we have a justification to purchase a different model.

Nice fridge freezer however the design for the location of the ice tray is not the best. More over the fridge door to the right is extremely clunky when closing I am having to use both hands. The tray in the large draw again is no the best design as this is not a smooth closure. So a little disappointed to say the least.

It looks nice in the kitchen. It's noisier than I thought it would be. Spacious fridge and freezer. Left door is a bit awkward to open and close due the sliding piece of plastic, a bit clunky. Easy to control the temperature. Alarm is loud enough to let you know that it's been left open.

Been looking at this fridge freezer for a while and glad we finally bought it. Everything great except the heavy shutting of the small door on the fridge. Saying that, it's not enough to put us off. If you want a reasonably priced compact American style fridge freezer, you should definitely consider this one.

I would recommend measuring your front door before ordering as it was a squeeze getting it in. It’s a great fridge freezer with lots of room for us as a family of 5. The fruit drawers are a good size and can switch between fruit and veg. The freezer is good but it loses some storage space due to having an ice cube tray built in.

Hotpoint FFU4D is an alternative to an american fridge freezer. Good points: space, frost free, 2 independent drawers for the freezer, modern look. Bad points: fridge small door closing system is not the best.
