Hi my name is Anthony. Today I will be reviewing the Dimplex GOSFORD GOS20. This fire is amazing. It arrived really quickly and was easy to get out of the box. I managed this on my own however it would be easier if you have someone help you. Assembly time takes around 30 mins. Some parts such as fitting the lights and transducer are a little fiddley but the rest is just common sense and the instructions are really detailed. The written instructions and diagrams so show how to assemble and maintain the Dimplex GOS20. The Gosford Optimyst Stove is finished in a black cast effect. The Optimyst gives a realistic 3D flame & smoke effect from a log effect fuel bed. It has 2 heat settings, 1 or 2kW and a flame only effect. The smoke is variable and it has a variable thermostat and full remote control and the door opens. Looks just like a wood burner but without the smell or mess that comes from a wood burner. There is no sound but the visuals are amazing. Sitting in the dark watching a film with this on. Priceless. Only real con is the price although I feel a little conflicted on this because of the great quality. It all depends on your budget. I definitely recommend this fire. Thank you for your time.

This is a lovely electric smoke effect log fire. Very happy with it. Very realistic and looks good sitting in my fireplace. We bought this as we didn't have anywhere to store real logs and find this easy to use.

I just love it! It looks like a log burner with none of the hassle, smell or mess that would go with having a real one.

Good piece of kit. Daily water top up takes about 2 minutes, no problem. Great effect and at a great price thanks AO...I'll be back.

This log effect stove is absolutely brilliant in every sense of the word,I am an o.a.p.and had no problem putting it together.yes it's quiet,easy to use, quality superb,log effect looks real. It is more expensive than a lot of other stoves but it is the same old story you get what you pay for and the Dimplex Gosford is worth every penny.I would recommend it to any one.
