    Basic design fault.

Its OK, but none of our (normal-sized) plates fit into the basket without the rotor hitting them. Pretty basic design fault, and to think that someone gets paid well to design these things! Can't be bothered to return, will have to lay plates down and use up half the space. Poor. If AO had a clue about the products they are retailing, this unit would have been discontinued long ago.

On the positive side, my wife and I like the stainless steel and grey finish. The wash programs are easy to use however, some of the programs are too long and waste a lot of electricity and water. On the negative side, the top and bottom baskets are poorly arranged. Thin spigots and over-engineered layout making it complex to arrange plates, dishes etc. Also, the top basket side flaps are too thick, don't really support wine glasses very well, the fact they can be moved up or down, is pointless. Think it would be better with a more simpler arrangement.

    Not working properly sadly

Not sure why but the dishwasher tablet holder isn’t releasing. We’re having to throw one in the bottom. Currently trying to sort this out. Also, the timer says 2.5 hours for a clean, and then it drops down to 30 minutes and is done before you know it. Something really not right with this machine sadly!

    Hotpoint dishwasher-not amazing

The cleaning is ok but the cutlery holder and the layout makes loading certain things difficult. Cutlery holder-small holes for handles, luckily my set fit but some won’t. It also means you need to use the top rack add on for knives etc with wider handles and I’ve found this area is not always getting cleaned well. Bottom rack-my bigger plates don’t fit and hit the spinner. I like that the cutlery drawer can slide along the bottom and that the door opens.

Good dishwasher… but a bit over the top with varying directions of dish prongs. Could get more dishes in, if everything was slanted the same direction. Also, can’t adjust height of top shelf and it’s too low for our standard size dinner plates… can only fit in 4 (2 each side) so as to not interfere with central spinny thing. Quiet. But not energy efficient, as we need to run it more frequently than older Hotpoint model.
    Extremely busy mum.

Good product on shorter cycles doesn't always get everything clean.

Dishwasher washes well but the configuration of the cutlery basket hinders getting pans and large items in

We opted for this model as we had our last hotpoint for around 15 years but as in this ever changing world I don't think that this one will get close to that as it seems flimsy and not so well made
