Not too expensive, but lots of setup niggles
3/5
Works fine , avoid the eco mode and rating as it does not clean anything apart from breadcrumbs off a plate if you had toast. Anything remotely greasy use the 'it figures it out and knows how dirty your plate are' setting, seems to be fine using that. Our larger plates won't fit unless we use the extreme side slots, there is not as much clearance compared to the old Bosch, but the upper section is a bit taller so can take a bigger mid size plate we found. It automatically opens the door on a few programmes to let the steam out, you do not have an intruder in the house when it clunks open, then it waits 45 minutes the then been as it should be dry then. I don't like that the water inlet pipe is moulded into the machine, if it gets damaged in any way, and it is flimsy, the pipe just disappears into the machine. The old Bosch had a pipe that screwed to the back of the dishwasher and had a much more robust pipe. Also there is a great lump of a pressure regulator on the water connection to your house water supply pipe fitting, had to smack out a big hole 10 x 10 cm in the side of the cabinet to get it through, then it fouled the wall as the pipework allowed for the old twist on fitting, this we got over, but the pipe now slightly under bending pressure to get the module accommodated. The control panel buttons are kind of random if they think they have been pressed, in areas slightly away from the key legends. Getting into setup mode was a pain as the buttons are just passive with no feel and it takes a while to know if you have actually done the right sequence to get into settings. Took 4 or 5 tries once we figured out how to get into settings as its not at all intuitive to use. Also you need to look up your local water hardness value to tell the machine to do the water treatment right with its softening capability. Once it is set up and you deal with all the process, it is for us a three button press from loading to starting a wash, power on, move one along on programme to setting 2 and play button. The lower wheeled drawer is a faff making it onto the door ramp for unloading, it always seems to get lost and not just transition. It's our second Hisense appliance, along with the 70/30 fridge freezer they seem to be doing ok, but I still went Bosch for a new washing machine for peace of mind as the old Bosch was 25 years old and I just don't see the quality for long life with Hisense
