The designers and manufacturers alike should be equally proud of this product: from the designers comes an impressive balancing act, with a high-tech array of functions and a clear and intuitive user interface; from the manufacturers, a sleek and solid build of that design, which shouts quality while it whispers its way through every cycle. And with a 10kg capacity, the versatility pushes the boundaries! So far, I've only detected one downside to the machine in action: the initial water ingress is surprisingly loud, though that may be heightened relative to all of the other sounds the machine makes which are so impressively quiet. A note about the dispenser drainage: I love the ease which which the dispenser drawer can be removed for cleaning or drying - a vast improvement on all dispenser drawers and slides I've used before. However, note that the drawer retains much more water at the end of the cycle than other machines, so that easy removal of it is a feature you'll want to use each time if you want to avoid smells from stale water hanging around. (Leaving the drawer open after cycle doesn't help here, as there really is a lot of water in there, far too much to hope for evaporation.) Speaking of stale vs fresh, one more thing I did like about this machine is how it must be using the perfect amount of water tailored for each load, as both small and large loads came out smelling wonderful. Clearly sufficiently rinsed, but not overrinsed so that the detergent fragrance is lost. (I don't use fabric conditioner so I depend on the laundry liquid to offer up its olfactory delights.) If long-term performance matches these brilliant first impressions, I think that Haier will win many new loyal customers in the years ahead.

Got to give this 5 ? even though there is one issue that I would have liked to know about (although it is in the photo's) but more about that below. First of all thanks to the AO delivery guys who made the delivery seamless. Friendly courteous and efficient, brill. Onto the machine itself. It does look good. Putting it in place under the counter top was a bit of a struggle as the machine has to be walked into place but manageable with 2 and with care and persistence. Easy to understand the range of programs with the daily quick being probably the one to be used the most giving options for cold, 20c, 30c and 40c with the adjusted time based on that plus the spin setting. There is virtually no noise from the wash cycle, it's amazing. At the time of writing we have used the daily quick twice and the cloths came out perfect. The machine is currently on 60c cycle and again there is virtually no noise. The most noise is from the filling of the machine. Even the spin cycle is very quiet once you have the feet adjusted in the best position. It just wreaks of quality and is probably the best machine we have ever owned, it is that good. Add to that a 10kg load and you have it all. There is also an extra long filling hose too. Ok so the one issue we have and again (perhaps) I probably should have noticed from the photo's but it wasn't mention in the "Key Information" which I did read fully is that the waste hose is bottom left (as you look at the machine from the rear) and so if the machine is going to the right of your sink (yes ours does) the waste hose was not long enough to reach the spigot on the sinks waste disposal !! So there was need to purchase a waste extension which we got from Amazon for 7 quid. So if buying this machine and we would recommend this 100% check if you might need this as well. It's dead easy to fit and we clipped ours to the back board of the cabinet at the correct height. So to summarise BUY ONE it's a fantastic bit of kit at a great price and it even looks good, does everything you need and does it quietly.

Well, I never thought I would be impressed by a washing machine but I was wrong! With the 10kg load, I can get so much more in each wash and the choice of programmes is excellent. This machine is so quiet, even on spin, the direct drive makes a huge difference to the noise level. No more waiting 2 hours for a quick wash like I used to have to do, this machine gives you the option of 15 minutes. The refresh programme is brilliant, I have a huge throw on the back of my sofa which fits in the machine easily and the refresh mode made a great job of fluffing it up and making it smell lovely and fresh. The detergent drawer is easy to remove for cleaning and slides back in effortlessly. The display is easy to read, even without my glasses on. The delay function means I can set it to come on early in the morning and it is ready to hang out when I get up. The spinner is so quiet that it does not disturb our sleep. As an added bonus it looks really nice too, sleek and stylish .

Only used for a few weeks but drum is a generous size and it is quiet. Next model up available for a very similar price.

We purchased the Haier HW100-B14939S_AN Washing Machine in Anthracite to replace our previous washing machine that had become so loud when spinning, our dogs use to run and hide! Not a good scenario when living open plan! Our new washing machine is amazing! I’m not sure that I should admit how excited I was when it arrived! The sleek look of the machine adds to its appeal. I was a little apprehensive as the highest spin cycle (1400) is less than our previous machine, this was quickly dismissed after my first wash as the clothes came out drier than when spun in our old machine! The 10kg capacity means I can wash less frequently, which coupled with its super efficient wash equals less cost which during the current economic climate is very much needed. It adjusts volume of water and time required dependent on the weight of the items being washed! The machine has capacity to wash a duvet, perfect as no longer need to go to the launderette to waste time and money. The washing machine has 15 different wash cycles and the ability to change temperature, spin speed and rinse cycles. You can wash something in 15 mins if you need, or just refresh clothing that’s not dirty. I am a fan of programming my machine to end when I get up in the morning as the clothes don’t sit wet in the machine overnight, I can put my washing out on the line before work. It has a 24 hour timer which works well. My only issue is the website states it has a pause & add item which is great for dropped socks, however there is no mention of this in the manual. I think I’ve sussed it as if you hold the pause/stop button down, it stops and the lock symbol disappears, allowing you to open the machine. I would definitely recommend this machine! Brilliant, quiet and efficient.

I purchased this washing machine to replace my trusty old Zanussi which was about 10 years old and on it's last legs. I run a self catering cottage so need a large drum to wash towels and bed linen, ideally as quickly and efficiently as possible. I wanted an "A" rated appliance to cut my energy and water usage and cut costs. The AO team installed my new washing machine and kindly took away my old machine and packaging for recycling. The easily installed the new machine in minutes. I was most impressed by the sleek, modern appearance of my new graphite coloured Haier model and its 10kg drum was more than enough to accomodate my usual washload. The machine was quiet and easy to use with some useful programmes, one which freshened washing in 15 minutes. I also liked the crease resist button and this is a great addition to make ironing a bit easier. The machine appeared to be washing well, but I was not very impressed with the overall quality of the wash and noticed staining still on some of the whites. With a 1400rpm spin cycle, I expected to be able to line dry my towels etc outside, but they were noticeably wetter than I was used to with my old machine. Consequently my washing was still damp later that day. For my requirements this relatively inexpensive machine wasdefinitely not fit for purpose. I also noticed there was still water in the detergent drawer at the end of the cycle, so possibly the machine wasn't working to its full capacity on it's first use? I'm afraid it was sent back and I reorderd a better quality (German) machine. As my Dad would say "buy cheap, buy twice" and sadly this Haier model is a Chinese made appliance=do not be fooled , as I was by its lovely appearance-It looks great on the outside but I would reccommend buying a more expensive "quality" machine in future for a more efficient wash. Excellent product, exactly as described. This is the quietest washing machine we have ever had and even on the shortest wash, I am sure the clothes are coming out feeling fresher! Love this, we would definitely buy again. Also fantastic service from AO. Totally streamlined and all the staff we have met have been absolutely lovely & so helpful. Very happy.

I absolutely love this machine, so easy to use, cleans really well, spins brilliantly which saves drying time , The refresh cycle is great for freshening up clothes and love how quiet it is This machine has cycles to accommodate pretty much any wash you need including duvets!
