We purchased the Haier HW100-B14939S_AN Washing Machine in Anthracite to replace our previous washing machine that had become so loud when spinning, our dogs use to run and hide! Not a good scenario when living open plan! Our new washing machine is amazing! I’m not sure that I should admit how excited I was when it arrived! The sleek look of the machine adds to its appeal. I was a little apprehensive as the highest spin cycle (1400) is less than our previous machine, this was quickly dismissed after my first wash as the clothes came out drier than when spun in our old machine! The 10kg capacity means I can wash less frequently, which coupled with its super efficient wash equals less cost which during the current economic climate is very much needed. It adjusts the time and water needed depending on the weight of the items being washed. The machine has capacity to wash a duvet, perfect as no longer need to go to the launderette to waste time and money. The washing machine has 15 different wash cycles and the ability to change temperature, spin speed and rinse cycles. You can wash something in 15 mins if you need, or just refresh clothing that’s not dirty. I am a fan of programming my machine to end when I get up in the morning as the clothes don’t sit wet in the machine overnight, I can put my washing out on the line before work. It has a 24 hour timer which works well. My only issue is website states it has a pause & add item which is great for dropped socks, however there is no mention of this in the manual. I think I’ve sussed it as if you hold the pause/stop button down, it stops and the lock symbol disappears, allowing you to open the machine. I would definitely recommend this machine! Brilliant, quiet and efficient.

We've had it one month and so far so good. It's easy to use, unlike some touch screen ones we tried, very quiet, even on full spin, and the wash times are not stupidly long (e.g. 80mins for cotton at 40deg). Marked down one star because even though it's a 10kg load the drum is slightly smaller than our old 8kg washing machine.

High recommend

First time buying a Haier All good so far, we really like how quite it is. This replaced a Samsung eco bubble and it's way way quieter. Having a 10kg drum is also really useful, especially the duvet program, no need to go to the launderette now.

Pro's ; Fabulous, Nice machine, easy to use, very quiet and well designed. Good value, works well, with big drum. Cons; Has rubber feet to help reduce noise transmission so it is very heavy to push in place or pull out. Didn't take insurance as had problems with it before, so wary. Relatively short waste pipe gave me problems- see below. Any other comments. AO advert didn't say Waste water pipe was fitted on the other side to my old machine - so I had to spend time rearranging the pipework near sink, as the waste pipe that came was too short. As needs minimum height to stop self syphoning occurring. Perhaps AO could show all sides of machine, and list pipe length and location in product details.
