A few downsides but expect to adapt to it.

Okay, so this machine is super quiet - unbelievable so. The manual however, leaves a lot to be desired. The machine has a delay function but the manual says to enter the washing powder immediately before the cycle. The programs are not clearly explained either - The ECO 40-60 takes over 2.5 hours but didn't heat at all based on the power consumed and neither temperature or spin speed could be varied. The wash did come out clean though. The 15 minute wash estimated 36 minutes when temp set to 40 and spin speed set to 1400 but took 42 minutes. The drain hose is shorter than our old model and is attached to the lower left corner when viewed from the rear. As our drain connector is under the sink to the other side it's stretching it a bit and needs an extension. There's no 'rinse' program but the 15 minute program or Refresh program can have options changed to achieve this. Will probably keep it as it is cleaning well, is cheap to run and as said earlier, amazingly quiet even on full spin.

A good looking modern machine, but dont be fooled by appearnces!

I purchased this washing machine to replace my trusty old Zanussi which was about 10 years old and on it's last legs. I run a self catering cottage so need a large drum to wash towels and bed linen, ideally as quickly and efficiently as possible. I wanted an "A" rated appliance to cut my energy and water usage and cut costs. The AO team installed my new washing machine and kindly took away my old machine and packaging for recycling. The easily installed the new machine in minutes. I was most impressed by the sleek, modern appearance of my new graphite coloured Haier model and its 10kg drum was more than enough to accomodate my usual washload. The machine was quiet and easy to use with some useful programmes, one which freshened washing in 15 minutes. I also liked the crease resist button and this is a great addition to make ironing a bit easier. The machine appeared to be washing well, but I was not very impressed with the overall quality of the wash and noticed staining still on some of the whites. With a 1400rpm spin cycle, I expected to be able to line dry my towels etc outside, but they were noticeably wetter than I was used to with my old machine. Consequently my washing was still damp later that day. For my requirements this relatively inexpensive machine wasdefinitely not fit for purpose. I also noticed there was still water in the detergent drawer at the end of the cycle, so possibly the machine wasn't working to its full capacity on it's first use? I'm afraid it was sent back and I reorderd a better quality (German) machine. As my Dad would say "buy cheap, buy twice" and sadly this Haier model is a Chinese made appliance=do not be fooled , as I was by its lovely appearance-It looks great on the outside but I would reccommend buying a more expensive "quality" machine in future for a more efficient wash. Thank you AO for your assistance and wonderful service throughout, from ordering, through to delivery, installation and recycling of the old appliances. I have bought all my appliances from you over the years and your after sales service is also excellent. Many Thanks.

Rubber seal broke within 2 weeks

    3/5
The washing machine does the job. The timer is more accurate than our previous one which is appreciated. Unfortunately within two weeks of delivery a chunk of the rubber seal randomly fell off. Currently waiting for Haier to send an engineer to fix it within the manufacturers warranty. Multiple attempts from both AO and Haier to make us hand over more money for additional insurance has been hugely frustrating.

    Nice looking and quiet

This thing is fairly quiet compared to the 6 year old machine it replaced. You can't really hear the motor running so the filling and emptying noises and the clothes tumbling around in the drum during the wash cycle are the sounds you hear more. It's not silent by any means but not hearing the motor running does have you checking if the thing is turning around every now and then. The door takes some getting used to, there is no button or handle to 'click' to open you just pull it which feels strange. The controls panel looks futuristic but l was a little disappointed that the control dial doesn't light up, it does look like it might when you first see it. No issues with washing clothes but you wouldn't expect any and there's a full range of programs.

Great but very deep - the deepest I've come across. Don't buy if depth is an issue.
