    Good machine but needs improvements

    3/5
What I like - it’s got a large capacity; unlike other combination washer/dryers we’ve had, the dryer actually works and the moisture sensor is spot on; really like the illuminated drum; very efficient if you’re not doing a full load as it weighs your laundry and uses just the right amount of water. What could be improved - I would’ve like auto-dosing detergent and WiFi connectivity but that higher-end version of this machine is only being sold in mainland Europe at the moment; we have a cat and the black rubber seal is a fur magnet when using the dryer so requires a thorough manual cleaning after every cycle; lastly, the cycle-end alarm is inaudible so you’re forced to keep a close eye on the machine. Biggest gripe - the time display on this machine is utterly useless. It changes throughout the duration of a cycle. At the start it hugely overestimates the time needed by hours. Near the end of the cycle, I’ve seen it sit at 5 mins for 20-30 mins before it ticks down to 4. I presume this is because it’s relying on moisture sensors but it’s astonishingly poor design. When combined with the fact the end of cycle alert is inaudible and the lack of WiFi connectivity to notify you the cycle has ended, it means our clothes inevitably sit in the machine and end up wrinkled. At the very least an anti-wrinkle feature to keep the drum warm/turn it every few minutes until emptied would’ve been nice and quite easy to implement.

Washer great, dryer doesn't stand test of time

    3/5
I have now had the washer dryer for under 2 and 1/2 years. The washing machine part of machine is excellent. However the dryer is not great. Within 18 months the dryer stopped working, it was fixed. Haier had now changed he part that clogged with one that supposedly clears before drying. Again the dryer has failed. Looks like I need the machine replaced this time. Thankfully it still washes and even more thankful I took out the insurance. I very rarely dry from wet and in the better months I dry my laundry on a clothes line out the back. I don't over use dryer in any way. I have always been skeptical about washer dryers. I don't have space for seperate dryer unfortunately and winters in Scotland are wet and go on for ever.

Swapped my Washer/Dryer for the "Washer" only model!

    2/5
I first of all purchased this Haier Washer/Dryer. I don't usually use a dryer to dry my clothes. I just like to put it in the dryer for approximately 10 to 15 minutes to soften it and get rid of creases. It's just good to make sure the items are completely dry, soft and free of creases. I was shocked when I put my virtually dry washing in the washer/dryer on the "Dry" cycle to hear and see water pouring in all over my dry laundry! I tried to stop the cycle but couldn't. It automatically went onto a 30 minute "Dry" mode. When it finished my laundry was wetter than when I put it in! Fortunately, AO.com were extremely helpful and, although they charged me 10%, they very kindly let me exchange the machine for the washer only model. I am sure the "Washer Only" version will be the same performance of the Washing cycle of this machine which I found to be very good. I was able to adjust both the spin speed and the temperature on many of the programmes. I found plenty of relatively short cycles with 1400 rpm with the full capacity of washing. One hour and 10 minutes for a 40 degree full 10kg load and 1400 rpm spin. Ideal for most of my washing. I think I set it on "Fast" cycle. I think it was also very similar on the "Cotton" cycle. A few minutes less if you leave it on the default settings of 1000 rpm. Obviously during the winter months I would make use of 1400 rpm. In the summer 1000 rpm will be adequate. There are many machines where these type of settings are only available if you put a much lower load. It always seems difficult to find Washers where you can make use of the full capacity load but still have a reasonably short wash. I was relieved to get rid of this combination machine. I'm going to get a vented dryer as I've read so many bad reviews about condenser dryers and heat pump dryers I'm too concerned that I may make another bad choice. My research showed that the vented dryer is still the most economical one out of the 3 types of available dryers so that suits me! If you can spare the space I would definitely go for separate machines. The combination machines seem to take hours to dry anything. If your like me and dry your washing outside or in your warm bathroom with the window on locked open in the winter then just use a dryer to soften your clothes and ensure it's cupboard dry this machine will not be suitable for you.

seems like a well built Machine

    4/5
First looks seems like a well built Machine, Very heavy at 70kg, solid drum and relatively quite. Washes well. Can customise the 15min Quick wash taking the wash to around 35-45 mins. Make sure the installer removes the steel bar plates and rods that go from the back into the machine plus the transit bolts. The Front door part is made of clear plastic not glass. Rubber seals seem a little weak and make slight noise when closing/opening door. Water inlet pump nosier than my last machine. Can also Switch on or off the end of cycle tune and the Touch Buttons Sounds.

    Below average quality

    3/5
Bought this to replace an LG washer dryer and... quality is not comparable. The rubber seals have a lot of flex, they trap a lot of dust and retain detergent gue. The interface lools good but as soon as you touch it its not responsive and feels cheap as a poor gadget. This product won't last nearly as long as my old 10 year old LG which I had to replace because there are no spares. It does wash clothes... drying so so.

    Great product.

Looks great. Controls easy to navigate and tweak wash and dry cycles. It is nice and quiet when running. Energy efficiency is good, I have not noticed my smart electricity reader turning red when running a wash/dry cycle. Very pleased with the purchase.

    Clothes covered in lint/fluff

    2/5
Machine looks very nice but doesn't work as I would expect. My clothes come out covered in lint after every cycle, its so bad that I asked for a replacement but the new machine does exactly the same. Not worth the money in my eyes as I have used other washer/driers and not experienced this problem.

    Quiet & Hygienic

    5/5
This really is quiet - hardly any motor noise even during the spin, which is ideal for my open plan kitchen/living room. The machine automatically rinses its door seals to keep them clean, however there is usually a little clean water left on the seal (even after a drying cycle), so I just give it a quick dab dry with a teatowel before i pull my dried laundry out. Well worth it for the assurance that residues and mildew won’t build up in there.
