So simple and easy to use and actually get clothes dry fast
5/5
My previous all-singing and dancing tumble dryer with sensors and about a hundred features I neither used nor could be bothered with, suddenly died. I decided I wanted something back to basics and vented that wouldn’t take hours to dry a load. In terms of cost efficiency, I really find it hard to believe that something that takes such a short time to do it properly is worse than a condensing machine taking two to three hours or longer in some of the reviews I read. This machine is great. Throw the load in, press button for high or low heat, turn dial to select time, press start. My real bugbear with my sensor dryer was that many items weren’t actually dry and the machine didn’t have an option to over-ride to do a few items until they were. What came out of the machine was effectively what you got regardless of whether it was dry or not, so this Indesit is a delight. I can check if things are dry and add or reduce time accordingly. I do a load for two people and it has never taken more than an hour to be absolutely dry; mostly I put it on for 45 minutes unless I have jeans or jackets to dry. I love the window in the door, which is unusual in a tumble dryer as you can actual see how dry things seem to be and check. I’m so impressed with this that I’m seriously considering buying another to store for when this one eventually stops working (it has a 10 yr guarantee and is British made) as it’s becoming very difficult to buy vented dryers. I’m fully expecting them to become obsolete in the name of climate change. If you want a dryer that dries clothing fast and efficiently, you really can’t go wrong with one of these. I’d also add that due to the simplicity of use, it would’ve been great for someone elderly, like my mum who struggled with memory problems, to use.
