    Terrible design.

    2/5
The double oven is fair value, considering the low price, however the grill is only capable of running for 6 or 7 minutes before it overheats and needs to turn of and cool down for 5 minutes.....The result is that it takes about twice as long to cook anything. How this got past the design stage stage is a mystery. Otherwise, it performs well enough. Not recommended I'm afraid. Best to buy something that actually functions as it should.

    Grill issue

    2/5
Purchased this oven and although the oven is good the grill is NOT. The grill switches itself off after 11 minutes and switches back on 5/6 minutes later. We had the engineer out and he said that this is normal! The grill goes off when it gets too hot. This is obviously not ideal when grilling burgers etc! Bad choice!

    Equipment trimmed to the price

There's only one shelf in the main oven. Another will cost you £25. There's no light in the top oven and no way to fit one. Despite the description in the instruction manual, there's no glass in the top oven door - it's blocked out. The instruction manual is carelessly put together, covers other ovens with different specifications, and doesn't give the serial numbers of the ovens to which it applies.

One shelf for a double oven!!!!!

    2/5
Purchased a double oven which came with one shelf. When I called the helpline I was told this is what it is supplied with. Now I have to purchase additional shelves, which I have never had to do in the past with a new oven. Staff on the indesit helpline were very unhelpful.

OK value for money, but I should've got a better one!

    3/5
This oven is pretty good value for money. It's possibly one of the cheapest available, but it does most things you NEED an oven to do - and it does it well. However this oven comes with a 'Condensation Trim' tray (Google it), and this really worries me! I've no idea why ANY oven should ever need one. (My last one didn't). This narrow trim/tray collects condensation/moisture which can somehow escape from the bottom of the front door of the oven, which you can then easily mop up. BUT, why would anyone want to have to do this??? So, now I find myself mopping it regularly (ie: once after using the oven each time)- because I can't see how much Condensation has (or hasn't) been collected in the tray. Summary: OK value for money, but I should've got a better one!

    AO great! Heating element problems

    3/5
This is the second Oven we have purchased in a few years.. this Oven is not so good. Indesit IDD 6340 IX seems to share a lot of internal components with other ovens. The heating element broke a little over 12 months after purchase and had to setup a one year repair contract, so I got the element replaced and that one broke just before the end of the contract so I got it replaced again in Feb 2023 and now it is broken again Dec 2023 so not impressed with the heating element life span! At least its better than the previous oven where the oven fan broke a little over 12 months after purchase.

    Disappointing

    3/5
Only just got this today to replace our old Indesit oven that we had had for 15 years as the door broke. Already I can tell that quality is inferior. For one thing they only supply one oven rack, one!! There are slots for four and they supply one! Good job we kept the racks from the old oven. The racks themselves are very flimsy whereas the ones from the old oven are much sturdier, you can hear the tinny noise that they make as you put them in. Same for the grill pan, flimsy with one of those rubbish handles that isn’t actually attached to the pan. Hopefully the overall performance won’t be as cheap as the construction of the parts!! So far a bit disappointed I have to admit.
