This hob was bought as a replacement for an 11 year old failed unit (different brand). Chose this AEG unit for compatibility with previous unit (in terms of size, power rating and hard wiring installation), good price and AEG reputation for quality. Installation was easy and the self grip springs on under side of the unit meant it just dropped into worktop opening and fitted securely without any need for screwed fixing brackets. The finger touch controls on the unit are simple to operate and the hob performance is excellent. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
