We have ordered one of these before for another part of the house and loved it so got the same again. The 60:40 split gives you more flexibility and the appliance has great features.

- The fridge freezer is smart-looking but it's small, way smaller than my old one. - It may be more energy efficient, since my old one was 'frost free'. I have since been informed ‘frost free’ run longer in order to dry up the run off on the back wall. My previous Hotpoint fridge freezer was 60/40 and lasted for 16 years. It was brilliant and spacious. I lamented the fact when I tried to fix it was told call out fees and supposed part might equal the cost of a new fridge freezer. I was better off buying a new one. The Bosch is very much smaller because to make it more energy efficient; the freezer walls are thicker but the width of the freezer is not wider and so there is way less space for frozen food and fridge food to some extent. I appreciate energy efficiency is about saving the planet, but throwing food away because you run out of freeze space I would think a far bigger contribution. I suggest a solution; the future fridge freezers ought to be wider so there is more freezer space to store food and so the fridge freezer could be 50/50.

Nice basic uncomplicated fridge freezer

Best size for us, a bit smaller inside rhan our previous fridge freezer despite similar outside dimensions. Could do with an extra shelf. The back is smooth rather than usual coils, it's supposed to be like this though. Was sceptical about the top open drawer of freezer, but in practice is quite good.
