    horrible engineering - avoid

    2/5
The fridge is all good and dandy and does what it says, it only has one major defect. When you spill any liquid (I spilled a lot of milk) it will all drain to what is called a drip pan, on the back of the fridge. In most fridges you can get the drip pan out, empty and clean it. But not on this one. The pan can not be removed and access to it is very limited. So once I spilled milk in the fridge, 2 days later my whole kitchen smelled like an old cheese factory. Getting the rotten milk out of the drip pan completely was not possible. I only managed to get some portion of it out, the rest will just rot in my brand new fridge forever. Luckily the smell is gone from the kitchen and can be smelled only when you get close to the back of the fridge. How can a company manufacturing home appliances for decades release a fridge with such a horrible anti-feature? Unbelievable. I will never buy anything from Bosch again.

Bad design to fridge door and veg drawer

    2/5
Looks great BUT BEWARE, if you need to reverse the door, the vegetable drawer is designed really badly and hits the left hinge side door seal every time, preventing it from opening fully. The veg drawer is fixed to the left, with a large space next to it on the right... Perhaps Bosch don't expect customers to reverse the door opening! I'm expecting the door seal to get destroyed very quickly. Also the door swings open and 'crashes' backwards, making the bottles and eggs in the door rattle and jump, unless I hold the door the whole time... NOT helpful if I need both hands to put in or remove a large or heavy dish etc. Surprisingly poor design for such a brand.

Good fridge but alarm is mostly useless

    3/5
The fridge is good, it's very quiet and I like the "extra chiller drawer" for meat. However, there is one drawback. The door-open alarm sounds if the fridge is left wide open, but if the door is just ajar by an inch or two it doesn't go off! I very rarely leave the fridge wide open but often don't shut it with quite enough force, so this was a big drawback for me and I wasted a lot of food in the first few weeks. Fortunately you can retrofit a third party door alarm, however it would be great if the manufacture one just worked properly in the first place.

Tall, well laid out, and energy efficient at a great price point.

What can I say? When you end up hugging your fridge/ freezer, says it all. It’s very tall, the veggie drawer is spacious and the meat drawer is great for isolating uncooked meat products. The door spaces are generous, the shelving is flexible and the handles are neatly integrated. The freezer is a decent size, and it’s all frost free.

    Door reversal problem

    2/5
Looks lovely but a word of warning for anyone who needs to reverse the door. I paid AO for the door reversal service which was fine, but nowhere in any of the Bosch information (their website etc.) does it explain that you need to reverse the vegetable and meat drawer runners as well. I had read the AO. com 1 star review, so I made sure I read the installation booklet, but the diagrams are almost impossible to understand. I managed to follow the instructions correctly but one of the very small parts bent which means the meat drawer runner drops down if you remove the vegetable drawer. Bosch says this won't be covered by the warranty, I should have paid for a professional to install the appliance, but I had no idea this job needed to be done! Waiting to speak to a Bosch manager before AO because this is a manufacturing and information fault.

    Rush Decision......Right Decision!!!

    5/5
We had been looking at changing our Fridge Freezer in 2023 but when our existing one broke on New Years Eve it sped up the process. The Bosch Series 4 KGN392LDFG 70/30 Frost Free Fridge Freezer - Silver was the one we rather hurriedly chose....and what a great decision it was, it's a superb Fridge Freezer and a lot better than the one's we had been looking at. It ticks every box and so much more....it looks great, there is so much space for everything, we couldn't be happier with our purchase. A great price for an excellent addition to our kitchen.

    Very happy.

Looks smart. Much larger on the inside than I was expecting, especially the freezer. Switching the door hinge is easy if you have a T20 Torx. Remember to switch the fridge drawer runners before installation, as they're 'sided' too.

    Great product lots of space

    5/5
A fantastic product - taller than I expected and also much roomier than my previous fridge. I love the 2 bottom drawers for separating veg and meats. The veg drawer is amazing - we usually buy a lot of veg and the usual 2 small drawers got all filled up and everything squished. Now at last I can actually see the contents even after a major shop, not least because of the light, which is located right at the top, in front of the shelving and not at the back as in all my previous fridges. It's gives quite bright, white light that makes all the colours pop. As to the freezer, I thought I'd be getting less space than my previous 50/50 fridge freezer which had 4 drawers. However , it's actually not that much less in this 70/30 one -the 3 drawers seem quite spacious. The system for switching door opening sides is fairly straightforward but still fiddly due to the size of the fridge. The instructions could be a bit clearer but once you figure out that everything is mirrored, you're good. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this fridge freezer. Oh, and it's got wheels at the back so it's easier to manoeuvre when sliding into place!
