Amazing machine absolutely love it ??

I needed a new stand mixer as my old one had just stopped working. It was a compact Kenwood and I really liked it as it came with a load of other attachments too. I was having a job finding the mixer as a stand alone as I obviously didn’t need the attachments as I already had them. I found exactly what I was looking for and the latest model of my old mixer. It was the best price and the delivery date was very quick. The beauty of it was that everything so.com promised was kept. The machine is just what I was looking for and the delivery was fast. It cam in approximately 48 hrs. Fantastic. I will definitely use them again.

Basically does what it says on the tin, but it is a plastic body and using the dough hook on 500 gms of flour plus water gets the machine flexing on the hinges as the hook strains against the dough. So I'll make smaller loaves! The AO price (Bank Holiday special) was incredible, I've ordered the mincer and food processor attachments (AT281 and AT284 FYI, it's hard to find which ones fit), they cost more than the machine! The Machine IS very compact, and will be great for the lighter load work, cakes etc. Bear in mind a "proper" Kenwood costs from around £450 to £1,300, this is a good entry level for low volume bakers.

Having looked across several retailers ao.com was offering by far the best price. The item was in stock with free next day delivery. And, as promised, it arrived in immaculate condition on time.

Pro’s - Beats well as long as the butter is not firm - Makes bread dough nice and smooth in a relatively short time - Easy to use. Tools click in easily and it’s a simple dial for speed - Ability to add other tools like a food processor meaning one product does it all, saving space. - Suction cup feet means it doesn’t move when in operation. Simple but highly effective. Cons - Doesn’t beat well if the butter is firm. Not ideal when recipes call for chilled butter - Everything sticks to the utensils meaning you spend ages scraping mixes off of them and it reduces its ability to mix everything thoroughly. - The bowl splash cover is useless as it has a gapping hole at the back plus a like of closable lid on the bit for adding ingredients. This means at speeds higher than 3 results in ingredients firing out of the bowl - The head mechanism is a dirt trap and difficult to clean when you’ve hit max and fired cake mix into the hinge area, made worse by the gap in the bowl cover being at the head hinge end. - Metal bowl marks easily and doesn’t clean well in the dishwasher when having made dough. - Don’t think it will last like my mums Kenwood mixer bought in the 80’s and still going strong. This one feels cheap and the head already bounces up and down when mixing on only its 4th mixing job

IMy existing mixer started playing up and as i use it frequently for making dough, I though I would try the Kenwood and am glad that I did. Although I have only tried it for dough so far, it does what it is meant to do, although you do have to ensure the protective disc is in place as the mix ends up all the way up the dough hook and would end up in the mechanism otherwise.

Really good mixer and doesn't take up much space

Bought a kenwood as always wanted one , and to say I'm pleased is an understatement, it is so easy to use , you can add so many different accessories I'm overjoyed been so busy making cakes .
