    Wish I hadn’t bought it

    2/5
I would not have bought this had I seen it before purchasing on-line as it is the cheap cousin only of the Kenwood Chef.....Silver plastic and flimsy by comparison, even the stainless steel bowl is flimsy and bends easily on even minor compression. When used for mixing a cake mix (following all instructions) the mixer-head of the machine moves up and down worryingly, something that is only warned to happen when mixing dough. The anti-splash cover was effective at preventing the ingredients from being thrown out of the bowl with the exception of the only open bit, a gap which allows the ingredients to be fired over the whole machine....what a mess! If I can find out how to return it I will as iI believe that it is extremely expensive for what it is. My ancient hand-mixer is better.

This item has some really great features it can be upscaled into a blender mincer and juicer or used for standard mixing e.g cakes and whisking it dough baking. It is ultra light At 3kg and looks stylish on the worktop, fitting snugly in my baking corner, it’s rubber feet stop it sliding around and absorbing the vibrations- making it a safe option. It comes with the splash proof lid and a rubber cover to prevent dust from getting into the components making it a secure option. The bowl is like a half oval egg shaped so you can mix smaller quantities with the angled satellite position successfully also has a spout so you can tip some ingredients into the mixer without needing to remove the lid. Apparently it also has an auto cut out function if you lift the lid mid flow-which so wouldn’t do without stopping first. The only downside (and it may only be tiny) is some of the flour did escape out of the bowl when you tip the lid up to remove the plastic guard. I guess once I’ve got the hang of how to lift it without trapping any flour next time- that it would appear to be faultless piece of essential kitchen equipment! Very pleased with this item.

    Great compact mixer

This is the first stand mixer I've had and I chose it because I don't have the space for a larger mixer. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. I'm really pleased with it so far, in the week I've had it I've made Christmas puds, a banana loaf and mashed 1.5 kg of potatoes. Next on the list is the Christmas cake. The "planetary" mixing action seems to work well although I did need to scrape down the potatoes a couple of times whilst mixing As another reviewer said the the top section can move up and down when mixing but this didn't cause me a problem, I find it tends to be most noticeable when the mix is heavy (e.g. Christmas puddings)

    Kenwood prosper+ Stand mixer

This is a great cost effective stand mixer which does the job nicely. I believe it's a staple item for most homes, it's easy to use, fits in the kitchen nicely as it's not too bug and is pleasant to the eye. I use it for baking; cakes, brownies, pastry, buttercream, fondant etc. But it doesnt compare to the big branded, more expensive ones. The parts are made out of plastic, it moves a little when mixing and the components do look like they are under duress when baking, i also have to scrape the sides of the bowl which was a small let down for me, however I think this is just how it's made and wasn't a total fail. Overall it's great for occasional use and I can get a few different bakes, all in one day with ease. So for home baking it's great, industrial? No.

    Fabulous product

This is a fabulous gadget for the kitchen. I have researched various products extensively and opted for the Prospero. I have no regret at all! Very easy to use, powerful to do what it is supposed to. Yes, you may have to scrape off the bowl for lighter textured mixes, but all in all, I would buy again without a second thought!

    Very happy good all rounder

This is a capable machine iv used all the attachments now. Don’t get me wrong the dough hook looks like if you used it excessively every day it wouldn’t last long but if your making it every day then you’d buy a dedicated machine. Very good all rounder which is what I wanted
