    Kettle leaks!

    1/5
Kettle started leaking just after 2 years of owning the product - so out of warranty. Absolutely no reason for it, worked fine for 2 years, then noticed pools of water and found a leak coming out of the bottom. Don't spend the money for something that won't last!!

    Disappointing

My kettle has developed a large crack at the top of the handle after just 6 months which means it is unsafe for use. Has not been misused or abused so very shocked at the poor quality. Lid does not open very well either.

    Style Over Substance

The kettle looks very stylish and does its one and only job and boils water. Other than that it's pretty poor. I the first kettle I received, I had to return because the lid wouldn't open properly when the button was pressed. The second one was a bit better but still needs a good hard pressing to get the lid open. When you lift the kettle you can hear the cheap plastic handle creaking. I would expect amazing high quality when spending £109 on a kettle but this kettle feels cheap and I doubt will last.

Not what I expected from a Smeg product.

This a cheap and nasty plastic kettle, the only metal part is the boiling vessel. Being so cheaply made, I am of the opinion that it will not stand much use before some of the pointlessly intricate plastic parts will fail. This is the worst case of paying for the name I have ever been mugged into paying for. It is being returned as an unsatisfactory and below standard product.
