I searched for a new Extractor hood to go into my new hom'es kitchen and knew I wanted both efficiency and quietness. Their were many to chose from (buying online) so while not be able to actually see the items, they were available to be researched. The decision was not difficult - it was my newly installed Siemens extractor hood. I have used it fow about 2 weeks now and am very pleased with my choice.

Decent enough quality for the price , don't really like the TX screws seemed really cheaply made ,or the screw type of bit you get to screw them in !. Thought Siemens would have been better .Works well enough though in extracting cooking smells and steam

This is a good product, and came in a very sturdy cardboard box with wooden strengtheners. It's a bit fiddly to fit, but nothing an experienced DIY-er can't do. It certainly helps if you can stand directly underneath it rather than having to lean over a hob/cooker. Provides a decent amount of light. Electical connection is via a plug-in cable similar to a kettle lead. Would recommend.

You'll need tools and time as this (like all these) just hangs on the wall with a cupboard front on the face. Can't detect any change in fan speed between power levels - might just be me!

Once installed the cooker hood is easy to operate, and relatively quiet. The spec had changed from the description on the website. There is only one motor, whereas the description on the website indicates two. This actually was the only reason I'd gone for this model over a Bosch, but as there was only a few pounds difference, I wasn't going to worry. The installation instructions were not easy to follow, but if you've fitted a cooker hood before then it shouldn't be too bad. They provide templates - but I found them more of a hindrance and actually got the cooker hood fixed on the two rear brackets first, and then made the various adjustments, (although it did require unhooking the unit from the brackets a few times.) The LED lights were much better than previous filament bulbs. Overall I am happy with my purchase - as long as the product lasts.
