Bought almost 1 year ago. Has had to be repaired twice already in that time. Now it isn't draining & is so loud we have to leave the house while it's running because it makes the kids cry. Never have I ever had this many problems with a washing machine. It's awful, a complete waste of money.

Very quiet in operation. Very easy to operate once you've got your head round the instructions. Washes seem to take a long time but economic electrically. A pity the weight is different for washing and drying as heavy loads would be too much for the drying cycle. However, this does seem to be the same with most machines these days. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Great performance (including drying) but the touch controls are initially a little complicated for some functions.

This was bought to replace an AEG 16850, which had stood up pretty well to intensive family use for 8 years (apart from a broken bearing at 4 years which fortunately was covered by the free 5 year warranty promotion).Pros: adaptation of the programme based on load weight seems to work well.Quiet - doesn''t bounce around when spinning.Not excessive spin speed (previous one had 1600 which is probably what knackered the bearing).The auto drying function works well.Cons : Although the programmes are all very clever, they are missing:* A simple way to select "spin only"* A simple way to select dry only, with the ability to manually select a drying temperature and duration.Steam refresh is a bit of a gimmick I think - time will tell.I''m really not sure about the touch sensitive buttons - I''d prefer mechanical ones with positive feedback, like the Power button is.2 year warranty seems stingy for a supposedly better than average brand, but that''s the way of the world these days.Overall I''m pleased, but could do with some work on simplifying the user experience.

It is working really well. The clothes are coming out well washed. It is fairly quiet, even when spinning. There are more program options than my previous machine. i like the time save option. Haven't found a way to do a spin alone yet. Not used the dryer yet.

Very happy with my new washer/dryer which i bought to replace my old Indesit. I am delighted with this AEG, it's much quieter, faster and easier to clean and maintain than my previous model and, crucially, it actually dries the clothes first time!! I had read one minor criticism of this model was the dispenser drawer was a bit sticky to pull out and push in again and whilst I can appreciate what the report said, it is not a real problem. In my opinion, a bigger problem, for people with arthritic or weaker hands for example, is opening the door, the only thing which my old Indesit was better at, as it can feel stiff, but this is a minor criticism and won't be a problem for most. Drying costs are supposedly more expensive on this model but that remains to be seen. Overall, a quality washer/dryer that does everything very well.
