Faulty- ao won't help; fridge master still yet to send engineer

1/5
Faulty product- back wall fills up with a thick layer of ice in less than 24 hours, yet fridge temperature struggles to stay below 5 degrees. Ao won't help and fridge master can't send an engineer for over a week. Door seal seems ok but clearly something not right when having to remove 1-3 inches of ice a day from a fridge. Disappointing. If it worked properly 5/5 as it seems to be a spacious, sturdy fridge but unfortunately it doesn't!

This fridge/freezer is perfect for our small kitchen. There reason for the 2 star review is we had a faulty unit. after 30 hours running it was still room temperature. AO were really helpful and did what they could to get me a replacement as quickly as possible. but Fridgemaster, the manufacturer wanted me to wait 2 weeks for an engineer visit! Now we have a working unit it does exactly what I want (keep food cold) and looks sleek in our small kitchen. It is very spacious and the salad drawer is very useful. It is also surprisingly bright inside which I never thought I would appreciate! This is a fantastic product for the price. Would be a 5 star review if not for having a faulty one.

A good fridge fit for it's purpose

This was an emergency purchase after my elderly parent's previous fridge refused to work after being 'defrosted'. It is one piece of technology that is in fact, impossible to live without especially when you have an elderly pensioner parent who has cancer and needs his medication stored in the fridge, so it had to be quick and cheap because I was not in the market for one and didn't have time to look around. What I like about the fridge: -The price was OK for an emergency purchase. -It looked neat when I put it into it's place. -Fits into narrow spaces. -Somewhat aesthetically pleasing on the outside in the black. -There is reasonable space on the inside of the fridge. What I didn't like: -Looks narrow...! -Gimmicky build quality. -Only top shelf can be adjusted. -Shelves seem like they could easily break if overloaded. -Doesn't feel durable or sturdy on the inside or out. -That little dim white light inside is horrific and could be problematic for elderly people! I can't be certain about it's performance as I am not physically present to test it out to my personal satisfaction and things are a little difficult to ascertain over the phone with my elderly parents who are happy to just have a replacement fridge for their needs but I am not very confident about it lasting a long time... Ours came with a big mark on the front panel of the fridge which at present, I can't even be bothered to write to AO about. When something unexpected happens, you just want to be over and done with the ordeal to make life easier (in my case for my ailing elderly parents) so that's where I am leaving it at, for now... I decided to go with the black one because things look better in black? The 70/30 ratio seemingly offered enough fridge space and, the price was reasonable. If I had the time and it weren't an emergency and I were in the market actually looking for a fridge/freezer, I would maybe have skipped on this one if I knew what it was like from the inside/outside before having it delivered. You expect a fridge of any price to at least be sturdy but this doesn't offer that mental security. I am usually pleased when I take the time to buy things but I can't say I am a 100% satisfied with this purchase and I dearly wish I could change that feeling...

Not convinced it is cold enough

Fridge when empty and on full (no.7) reads 2 degrees on my digital thermometer. Filled it with food and two days later it has settled to around 6 degrees. Even when the door is opened just briefly it can raise to 10 degrees. Will see how it goes for a week or two ... it may be getting returned if it can't stay stay below 4 degrees (recommended for meats) ... not impressed.

Great Delivery, fridge ok

The delivery guys were on time and let me know 20 mins before, so that was great. However, unpacking the fridge indoors is not advised, the lean angle required was difficult to acheive lol but managed in the end ?? Once in, the fridge was left for 8 or so hours, which was double the minimum. Due to work rather than choice. it cooled down and lit up inside as per expectation. I then realised a hinge switch was required for optimal fitment, this is where the manufacturer was being cheap. The hinge brackets and foot/hinge brackets were stamped out of thick steel plate to fit, so when swapped, they were just upsideown, meaning the bracket was essentially the wrong way up as per design. since having no choice in the matter I was forced to fit this rather poor attachment. After running for a week I found the temp a little warmer than I was used to, so I turned it up, very little happened, so I turned it up to max, and very little has happened. Looks good tho with my black dishwasher and accessories ??

just ok
