It’s early days, so I haven’t used it enough to give a massively technical review. It’s my first Apple computer, I have Apple devices but it’s different. Looks sleek. There are quite a few differences from using non Apple/IOS and the transfer over. I like the consistency of being on 1 system. You click the touch pad to mimic a mouse. You have to login as one person/account/email and it is a shared computer, which is slightly annoying (there may be a way around this but at this stage I don’t know it). I’m not a bit fan of the new micro USB ports as I still have lots of things that use the larger usb ends. So I’ve had to buy an adapter.

This is the first time I have ever used AO and found them swift and efficient. For anyone who is considering a new laptop for homeschooling, the new M1 MacBook is perfect. Having previously been using a Windows laptop for this purpose, (which we thought okay), the new m1 MacBook is in another league. There was a worry over compatibility running programs and software from the school but I can report that we have had no issue. I can honestly say it has improved the whole home working experience just because of the speed and performance alone. She gets up and it’s on ready to go. None of this waiting for things to load or to boot up. The only issue we have found is the promotions and offers sent by Apple when you registered your new product. Apple informed that because AO are not an authorised reseller, you are not entitled to any of the offer and promotions. I would have given 5 stars but for this as this is something customers should be made aware of.

Really happy with this MacBook. This is my first MacBook and I am so pleased I decided to get one. So fast and easy to use, having used windows my whole life I haven't found it difficult to use. Battery life is amazing and I like the sound quality. Love how slim, compact and easily portable it is. Looks and feels great too.

I love it !!! Very easy to set up and use. The Light weight of it makes it perfect to carry round for college or University.

This is an upgrade from a 2014 MacBook Pro. Pros - it is really fast, quiet, thin and light, and we anticipate will not have screen damage like older models. Cons - there’s a slight inconvenience of having to procure adaptors or connectors that are no longer included as standard on MacBook (like HDMI), but this is a minor issue. The model we were replacing was a Pro but we couldn’t see any advantage in waiting for the new Pro as we don’t require a slightly faster chip, or to extend the display to more than one screen.

Great product as you come to expect from Apple. Super lightweight and the new M1 chip gives great performance. I love how there’s no fan either, so it’s silent when you’re using it. The only small criticism is that it has no USB ports, so you have to buy a separate adaptor for this if you need one.

Top quality laptop that is top of the Which? Magazine best buys. Worth the effort to learn how to use Apple operating system which is a little different to Windows but more stable and reliable. Good price from AO
