Great but what about the foot

    3/5
Nice product. Ceramic insides for easy clean. Heats food as expected. The one gripe (which doesn't affect its performance as a microwave oven) is that of the four 'feet' only one has a rubber mat. It is slightly wobbly on a level surface out the box and you have to ram that foot hard as you can into the socket to level it out. Also the one rubber foot means it pivots on that when you open the door (the other metal feet are prone to slide on the work surface). If it wasn't for this I'd score it 5 stars.

    Average, not great

A bit disappointed with this microwave. It looks great but as others stated, it’s pretty annoying there’s no internal light. It’s also a lower wattage to what I’m used to so feels like it takes longer to cook things.

    It is ok.

This is a neat microwave. I am happy enough with it but a couple of problems....you have to steady the machine when you open the door to avoid it moving. Also the symbols on the side are so small, they are difficult to read. I guess you get what you pay for but I needed a compact microwave.

    Decent!

Very smart looking microwave and also really like the turn dial for setting cooking time. Only downside is I think is it’s rather noisy when in use. This is actually the second one we’ve received though as first one had a chipped turntable and also the turntable in itself didn’t rotate when cooking. Credit to AO though as got a replacement quickly. Overall decent for the price!

    not impressed

Controls are easy to use or seemed to be, but when we tried to reheat some food it did not warm it up, instead the plate was warming up and the outside of the cabinet got warm, but food remained cold, tried a few times but no warmer, so called Samsung up, engineer came a few days later, he couldn't find out what the fault was, he tested it again and it started to work, so later we heated some food up and it worked, piping hot, a few days later tried cooking some veg for twice the time and was barely warm. Have had a few microwaves over the years and never had a problem with them when new. Trying to decide what to do with it get a replacement or refund, you only get 50% of price refund back if used. Not Impressed.

    Who switched the lights off?

    3/5
Solid build and performance but the variable heating controls are difficult to use and the lighting inside the appliance is so dim it is hard to see your food cooking. Have not been able to use defrost control successfully - the instructions provided are far from clear on this. I do like the extra 30 seconds feature (just press 'start' once when the microwave is running).

    Misleading

    3/5
Good microwave apart from the automatic defrost feature. This does not work. Had an engineer to look at it and despite changing the entire control panel this feature still doesn't work. Not sure how Samsung can sell a product advertising particular features when one of them clearly does not work.

    Disappointed

    3/5
Looks great in black on our granite worktop but operationally a major step back from our last 10 year old Sharp Microwave. When you open the door, you have to be careful not to drag the microwave along the worktop towards you, as the door release is stiff and the microwave itself is so light and flimsy. As other reviewers have commented the dark glass prohibits you viewing the internal contents during microwaving and the control buttons are a bit small and indistinct and totally unsuitable for people like me with jumbo sausage fingers. Also makes a few funny noises during cooking. Overall disappointed and not as good as our daughter's Panasonic bought a year ago for the same money.
