We do really like the Bosch MUM59340GB machine that we bought from AO, although we did not appreciate that it did not actually include the food processor element, and that this part is actually quite a pricey accessory. We mistakenly thought that as machine was described as the 'Ultimate Kitchen Machine' on the Bosch website (and on its enclosed leaflets/instructions) that the food processor was included. When we called Bosch to find out what part we actually needed to buy as the food processor accessory, they were rather less than helpful. Otherwise the machine is really very good indeed albeit it is actually quite expensive when adding on the accessory we need.

When our previous food processor packed in - the plastic drive sheared at the slicing disc - we went on the hunt for a replacement. After much googling we settled on this model due to the number of options, especially the mincer attachment. Having now used this, I have to say it doesn’t feel like an attachment! When in place and operating it feels solid and does a thorough job, leaving next to nothing inside the mincer afterwards. The mixing blade, too, is really good, thoroughly incorporating everything as it orbits round the inside of the bowl. In fact, everything about the machine feels well designed, right down to the sucker feet which keep the machine from waltzing around the worktop! Finally, the overall design is compact and looks good sat out on the worktop ready for instant action. Definitely recommended.

I had a Kenwood top of the range which was noisy and cumbersome .This mixer is 5 star all the way Quiet Versatile Easy to clean with great attachments that are easy to use A design great It looks great even in my old house Highly recommended....

So far, seems very effective. I have used only the mixer part: it seems to mix ingredients well (right to the sides and bottom of the bowl), and is easy to clean. However, in the beginning it is a bit tricky to position the mixing bowl exactly in the correct place in the mixer base so that it will operate.

I tried all but one of the attachments. They do the job, except that the mixer makes strange noises when using the dough hook.

The two main reasons for purchasing this were making hummus and kneading bread dough. It fails to make hummus properly as the blender clogs at the bottom rather than working though all the chickpeas. After a lot of manual intervention to redistribute the contents, I acheived a rough paste, but there was not chance of getting a smooth blend. Dough kneading works, but I've found it takes twice as long as by hand (obviously without the physical effort though), and doesn't quite achieve the same elastic quality. Perhaps this is because the standard 500g (of flour) is too small to properly throw the dough around the bowl, but I'm just guessing. Haven't tried anything else with it yet.

The machine has come with multiple addons which is very good. We are using it daily and we are very happy with how it works and it is all easy to assemble and clean. The only thing which we are a little disappointed when we use it for kneading a bread dough the entire machine moves lie it was not sturdy enough for a job.
