More attractive than the ring doorbell in my opinion, much less bulky. Quite simple to fit for the layman without an electrician and very handy when unable to answer the door! Could do with integration in the Google home app as opposed to nest, but a minor issue.

The Nest Door Bell/Camera Hard Wired doesn't come with every thing you need, no wire to connect to your fuse box mains/no voltage regulator. But what you do get is a very good camera to view high end colour quality picture. When Added to your collection of nest products makes a very good system

Brilliant doorbell and the quality of the unit is superb, really easy to set up, slight issue with my existing doorbell as it didn’t supply enough voltage to the doorbell so an additional transformer was used and may be required for any other installation! Really quick dispatch also, can’t fault the service

The doobell works well, but the installation instructions refer to using the nest app via google home. The procedure had changed to use the google home app directly. One this was overcome it worked OK. The other thing to bear in mind is you need a power supply if you don't have a doorbell and chime already.

Pros - Best audio/video quality in a doorbell - Quick notifications - Integration with Google devices - Great app and you can also access the cam via the website - Wide angle - Great dynamic range on camera (can see darkest shadows and brightest sky with no issues) - Pre-set responses in the app so you don't have to speak to whoever is at the door Pros With Nest Aware subscription - Facial recognition - Setup zones to actively get notifications for motion only in a certain zone Cons - Setting up in the UK can be a bit of a pain as you may have to buy a transformer for your current doorbell - Wiring is required; you may need to get an electrician to fit which is an additional cost. However, if you are good at DIY then there are many YouTube videos to help with fitting the doorbell (this is the option I chose). - Subscription service a little more expensive than others

A bit of a pain that AO don't offer a power supply for this, but soon got one from a well known auction site. Once wired up it worked straight away. Excellent build quality, heavy with metal mounting plate which i dremelled to allow cable to pass through. Best bit is how well it works with my google home hub continuously showing a live feed if you want, also shows on lenovo smart clock. No need for a chime, google minis announce when someone has wrung the doorbell. It can report the difference between sound, movement or people. Would highly recommend this video doorbell and AO to anyone.
