    UTTERLY disappointing

    1/5
I am SO disappointed with this washing machine and I wish I'd never bought it. It recommends that you use the eco cycle which takes 4 and a half hours so it literally takes half a day to do a single load. I've also used the machine about 10 times now and of those cycles I've had to re-rinse and spin the load 4 times as my clothes were sopping wet. I have used Hotpoint products for years but this machine is just awful.

    Poor options

    1/5
Unlike old machine, this one does not give a straightforward way to wash clothes at variable temperature with the fastest spin. Not obvious before u buy it. Very poor - almost sent it straight back but too much hassle. Now having to set timer on phone to intercept the cycle & manually switch it to full 1400 spin.

    Utterly disappointed & regret purchase

    1/5
The worst combination of inflexible programs! I could honestly cry. What washing machine does not allow you to choose just a spin cycle at maximum spin? Answer…This one! If my washing gets rained on , I have the option of a 55 MINUTE Rinse & Spin or Spin & Drain which just drains the water out! The machine controls you, not the other way around. I like the idea of a green option using less water but this will not allow a 1400 spin and the Fast Wash only has a max temp of 30 degrees. Half the programs don’t recommend the max load and more than half won’t allow a max spin. I’m pegging out washing that feels like my first ever washer’s 800 rpm spin. If we are wanting people to avoid using a tumble dryer to save our planet which I fully support then let us spin our clothes at 1400 if we want to. Sadly the customer only finds this out following the purchase when the details of the programs arrive with the machine. I loved my last Hotpoint as it did exactly what any normal person wants: a reasonable length of wash at our desired temperature with the option of a separate spin if required ie. If something got wet or we had hand washed a jumper. I LOVED my last last Hotpoint with a 1400 spin it spun the clothes much dryer than this utterly disappointing machine. Who on earth came up with this model? Hotpoint, what were you thinking? I can’t believe the other reviews can be from this model unless the reviews are from people who put washing straight into the tumble dryer. Can’t fault AO.com , they were great as usual.

    Meh

    3/5
What can i say! Not the best bit annoyed I "upgraded" for the hotpoint. It's quite noisy even with the doors closed can be heard though out the house which is normal apparently (even states won't wake a sleeping baby) ??. Doesn't drain very well only 2 weeks old been told there nothing wrong with the item, when there clearly is a problem. My only advice to anyone (which I've leant) never buy online in store is so much better least you have face to face and more information on the product

    Washing machine

Well it’s been a couple of days and the washing machine. Is jumping out of where it was put in and I feel like the drum is going to come out of the washing machine.

    minor issue with wool cycle

    3/5
Has a weird minor issue where the wool cycle stops after 2 minutes due to a drainage fault. But no other cycle does so it's pretty clear there's no drainage issue. And if you run the wool cycle again, it works second time. Yes it's under guarantee so I could get it fixed but it's in a hard-to-access spot and Hotpoint threaten to charge you if it's an installation fault rather than a machine fault so probably not worth exploring.

    Spinner

    3/5
I bought this machine wanting a 1200 spin, There isn’t the option for that speed on many cycles. I would try and get all information before you buy.

    Overall good

Good points: quiet operation, large load size. Bad points, lack of short programs with max spin speeds
