The machine washes the clothes adequately but items seem very screwed up which creates more ironing

We have used the machine on all settings, some of which are over three hours long. The vibration is quite severe on all settings. Clothes are still wet at the end of the spin cycle. We are looking to return this machine.

We replaced our 18 year old machine as the bearings had gone and the spin of 1400 was less efficient. The new machine, unfortunately does not spin as effectively as our old machine. I telephoned Hotpoint customer services to question this and was told that the spin speed varies depending on the load. I then tried a full load to find the same problem. We checked outlet etc. Hotpoint said there was nothing they could do so I am returning it to AO, who were helpful, but for a price, for a different machine. Apparently modern machines have sensors which automatically reduce spin speed but I do not want to end up with wet washing which is difficult to dry, especially in the winter.

Unexpectedly the washing machine was faulty, it leaked. I had to call the engineer who found the problem and replaced the rubber seal. I was most upset.

Delivered early, given that my washing machine broke on Christmas Day, this was a very welcome development, the guys were tidy, clean, friendly and very professional. They took my old appliance away. Hooked up my new one, and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left. Great service and a great machine.

Lovely washer but most of the programs are hours long only 2 shorter programs 45mins and 30mins which I’m very disappointed with.

Most of programs are very long - not helpful if you are in a hurry. Would not buy again.

On a 30 or 40 degree wash, there are still stains left on clothes, tea-towels etc. Even using Aerial stain remover pods, no difference. I haven't tried the anti-stain wash programme as it takes 3 hours!! I'll probably give it a try despite the energy useage. The spin cycle is good, not too loud. 8kg provides a good sized drum. The black machine looks quite smart. I'm just not convinced that it's a great washing machine as yet. Perhaps a case of you get what you pay for.
