Manufacturing fault and was sent back

We replaced our 18 year old machine as the bearings had gone and the spin of 1400 was less efficient. The new machine, unfortunately does not spin as effectively as our old machine. I telephoned Hotpoint customer services to question this and was told that the spin speed varies depending on the load. I then tried a full load to find the same problem. We checked outlet etc. Hotpoint said there was nothing they could do so I am returning it to AO, who were helpful, but for a price, for a different machine. Apparently modern machines have sensors which automatically reduce spin speed but I do not want to end up with wet washing which is difficult to dry, especially in the winter.

Disappointing. Everything is creased on basic wash cycles. Noisier and not as good as my old Hotpoint.

uses A LOT of water on the rinse cycle when using the rapid option. (mixed setting, 40c, 1hr) - when i say a lot, i mean a lot - the water level on the door window is 75% full. I have never seen this on a machine before. It fills to 75% twice and then spins. Beginning to think something is wrong with the machine?

Unexpectedly the washing machine was faulty, it leaked. I had to call the engineer who found the problem and replaced the rubber seal. I was most upset.

We have used the machine on all settings, some of which are over three hours long. The vibration is quite severe on all settings. Clothes are still wet at the end of the spin cycle. We are looking to return this machine.

Does the job, initial issue with leaking quickly resolved.

Looks good, plenty of washing cycles to choose from. However it is very noisy, so disappointed about that.
