    Wouldn’t recommend

Takes hours on end to dry clothing. We knew it would take longer than a condenser tumble dryer but on average it’s taking about three times as long to dry same loads as our old condenser. The dryer has also started to make a weird squeaking noise during drying.

One of the best tumble dryers I've had

    5/5
I wasn't sure what to expect as this was the cheapest tumble dryer that I was looking at buying. It ticked all the boxes though so I bought it. It looks decent and it's very quiet in operation. The filters are easy to clean, both the internal and the main one which makes it less hassle after every load. The water drawer is easy to slide out and empty and I'm really happy with it overall. The Eco mode gives good returns on the electricity and you can choose closet dry plus to have your clothes perfectly dry. It does stop the cycle when all the clothes are dry thanks to the inbuilt sensors that detect the amount of moisture inside. If you're on the fence about purchasing this one as it's one of the cheapest, don't be. It's a lovely dryer that looks very modern, quiet when it's in use, and is easy to keep clean.

    Unimpressed

I have always had a condenser dryer, needed a new one so thought I would get a heat pump dryer as they are supposed to be more economical to run, I have had this for a week now and used it everyday, I’m not very happy with it. I set the dryness setting to be cupboard dry and my clothes come out damp so tried the extra dry setting and that says it takes 3 hours and 28 minutes, how is that economical? The setting that is for mixed materials cotton/synthetics always leave my clothes damp and I have to finish drying them on the radiators, I don’t want to put cottons separate and they be drying for 2 hours and then the rest of my clothes for another 2 hours…. Not impressed with it.

    Brilliant

Wanted to wait for a while before I left a review incase of any issues. So far none and I must say this tumble dryer is spot on. Its been taking between 1hr 45m to 2hrs to dry a full load and that's with lots of heavy items like jeans and towels. This machine dries them perfectly just ignore the time as this will change whilst they dry .I have tested the energy usage with 2 monitors and it only uses 800w ish for 1hr 45m n 1kw for 2hrs on eco setting. My last machine was 9kw crazy saving. Super easy to drain water n clean fluff filters too . Really quiet as well . I highly recommend this dryer to anyone wanting to save Money as this machine will pay for itself in 7 months of daily use . Brilliant

Do not buy a Hotpoint heat pump tumble dryer

    1/5
Recently bought a 9kg heat pump Hotpoint tumble dryer. Purchased it believing it was energy efficient as advertised. This was not the case!! It would routinely take six+ hours to cupboard dry socks and pants (three cycles). I was dreading the winter months when hanging our washing outside was not practicable. An engineer was called from ao.com and he confirmed my findings. Ao.com were excellent and I’ve returned to a vented tumble dryer, which drys our washing in a fraction of the time. My advice, do not buy a heat pump tumble dryer.

    Tumble Dryer

I have had a vented tumble dryer and thought I would give this one a try. Takes an eternity to dry your clothes. Returned the Item and reverted back to a vented tumble dryer which is far better.

    Worst thing I’ve ever bought!

Avoid this machine. It doesn’t stop beeping every time I use it. I constantly have to open and close the door to get it to work. I’ve tried everything. Cleaning filters, emptying the water, taking some clothes out but still it screeches constantly! I really would like to return it for a different one!
