Buy a new telly every 10 years

I rarely change TV so it was a nice surprise to see 4k, though I feel sorry for the actors who all look more haggard than on my old set

LG OLED55G16LA 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD OLED TV

The TV is brilliant, everything you would expect from LG, but the only downfall is that it is not supplied with feet! (that's why I only gave it 4 stars). I paid to have it mounted on the wall and because I live in a 'new build' the walls are not strong enough to take the weight of the TV. So I had to pay another £100 for feet and have had to wait 5 days for delivery which is annoying, this was not clearly pointed out from the LG when buying the product. I have since complained to LG customer service.

    Omission of stand/feet with television.

Would have liked to have a “stand/feet” provided with the television as not everyone is looking to put this television on their wall.

    Slick TV Overall

Great slimline TV packed full of features and settings. Pros- - comes with wall bracket/screws and sits flush with the wall - great sharp picture - decent sound and AI function for tweaking sound. Also linked it up to a Bluetooth speaker for TV+external output - Apps are good and quick to load Cons - pricey - does not come with feet for standing and a pricey optional extra- wall mount only as standard - viewing angle limited with glossy screen

    Amazing picture!

Easy to fit to wall, simple to wire up and a fantastic picture. Working out all the options can be a bit challenging as I am not a teenager! But as they say - read the manual.

    Breathtaking set

The upgrade from a backlit LED screen to OLED is definitely the best purchase that I have made this year. Bought as a primary display for 4K PC gaming, the LG OLED55G16LA has blown my mind with its 120 Hz crisp response and true black display. HDR, G-Sync enabled and coupled with Game Optimising mode, the upgrade is worth every penny. Sometimes, rather than my switching my PC on, I find myself using the built in apps to view streaming media such as Amazon Prime with remarkable results thanks to the inbuilt FilmMaker mode. So much so that rewatching films has been almost a new experience. Audio presentation from the set alone has been much better than expected for a TV with such a low profile. I expect that anyone buying a set of this standard will not be using the inbuilt speakers. There are more than enough audio connection options for anyone running lots of devices through this TV. The Bluetooth is particularly handy. It's a remarkable set. Not too big and absolutely packed to the brim with apps and features. Superb immersion, crisp colours and depth. Gaming or watching a film, especially in a dark room is truly breathtaking.

    Unbelievable TV

Decided to spend a bit more on a new TV and go for this LG OLED and wow what a TV! The picture quality is amazing and with the super thin bezel looks seamless. I have this mounted on the wall and the supplied bracket is really well made and solid, the way the TV sits flush against the wall and easily pulls out to access cables is brilliant. I wasn’t expecting much on the sound front with the TV being so thin but wow was I wrong, I’m genuinely impress with the depth of the sound.
