Looks great and works very well. Is easy to clean apart from the silver plates around the burner. have tried to wash burnt marks off after cooking without success, worried about using a scourer as will scratch...any ideas?

Excelent hob well made and easy on the eye. Good coverage of pan supports - small pans can be placed anywhere without tipping over. Unfortunately the clips provided don't work with a quartz worktop and a drawer under so only 4 stars overall.

Smeg is a name that indicates style and design but what drew me to this was not the brand but the design which is low profile ( sits neatly into worktop ) features 5 useful size pan burners easy front controls and cast iron top that is safer not raised or likely so much to elevate saucepans to slip away if knocked as could happen on thinner enameled types so consider this making a choice.

I just love my new hob. It looks fabulous, is easy to clean, the controls are raised up out of the way. The low profile means that there is no problem with moving hot saucepans from one burner to another. The cast pan grid is firmly in place, with no wobbles. I didnt need a new hob, but i was so unhappy with my old one, where pans slid about on the pan supports and it was terrible to clean. So glad I changed to this little beauty and its a joy to cook with again. Highly recommended.

Great looking product - it fitted well and performs as expected. However, the build quality was disappointing. We experienced a broken valve which are very costly to replace and painful to have to book an engineer to diagnose and then again to install. The smeg support were unhelpful as the warranty had typically just expired. Wouldn’t buy again.
