    Good Suction Power

    5/5
Brought this cooker hood as a replacement in order to get rid of cooking smells without them seeping to all the corners of the house - especially authentic India curries which have very strong smells when they are on the flame with the cocktail of spices that linger on clothing. And it does the job perfectly with its powerful suction capability - expelling the cooking smells straight out the duct into the garden so much more effectively than our last one. Very pleased with its look, bright LED lights and performance. On a side note, this has a 150mm diameter duct connection and my current ducting in place was 100mm. So had to get a couple of duct reducers (100mm to 130mm and 130mm to 150mm) to connect the hood to my existing ducting.

Does not come with a plug / poor fitting instructions

    1/5
I would avoid this product if you are trying to fit it yourself and you are not an electrician or a DIY expert. The unit only comes with a cable with two exposed wires and no plug. Cannot find information on what type of plug I need to use. Official instructions are as good as a best guess on how to fit it. Instruction also has vague reference to the plug but nothing assertive. Returning the product without using, but I have read reviews on other websites regarding higher than expected noise levels and malfunctions with lights.

    Slightly Disappointed

Nice looking, bought to match Hotpoint cooker, only had for a week. Suction doesn't appear to be that good, but as with cooker still finding our way round the appliance.

    Great

    5/5
Really good value...fan is brilliant and lights are great, not noisy at all, it is a kitchen extractor after all! Would recommend. No need to purchase the filter as included, but need the ducting kit...but this is quite clear in the instructions.

    Faulty out of the box

When fitted and connected to the mains the on/off switch and light switch would not stay in. Then a struggle to book a Hotpoint engineer.

Good Product, stylish etc... customer service not so !!!

    2/5
The first product arrived and after two weeks started to rust under the glass pitch at the front and around the operator button panel, it became a real struggle to get AO to replace this item after I had taken delivery of it (31 days). I had to escalate several times to AO and then onto the manufacturer who said "we don't cover rust" again I had to stipulate this unit was used for 2 weeks max so any rusting of any form must be due to a manufacturing defect, again this was a complete battle with both AO and Hotpoint but in the end they decided I was a VIP and replaced it giving AO an uplift reference number, why they didn't just replace it in the first instance is a mystery and not cause me such stress !
